First off, Sorry I never got Finals posted, by the time we all got out of there, I was on the bus, asleep

This Competition as a whole was great, The food was expansive, but it was some good eating, and it didn't make me sick before I had to preform, a major plus from a few other Competitions! The hosts were really nice, and of course, I loved the theater, but who wouldn't.

Bettendorf -- I didn't get to see you preform, because we went directly after you, but thank you so much for letting allowing us to practice at your school in the morning, It was nice to have a run through to refresh our brains. I also am super amazed at how far you have come since Prairie, as a group you guys looked amazing,, and if you keep doing what your doing, everyones gonna have yet another school to watch out for, Keep up the great work

Kennedy -- Congratulations on getting GC, I think each and every one of your Preforming members, combo and crew included, deserved it. I know there was a little bit of trouble with the group a while ago, and honestly I thought it would affect your performance, Not at all. The fact that you re-blocked EVERYTHING to work with your new numbers, in a week is amazing. Good for you guys, you all deserve it.

Congratulations to everyone who was there, everyone did great

Sorry for being ignorant, but what exactly happened to Kennedy that caused a problem? Congrats to them to be able to be so flexible and still be amazing.

in regards to the tie...
10th street edition and Happiness tied in all over all score, chereo, and vocals in finals. in finals 10th street had a higher raw score but the tie breaker after finals vocal score is daytime scores in which Happiness was 1st. Its really cool how supportive the cedar rapids show choirs are of each other, good job to every group who competed and congrats happiness!!!

Great job everyone!
North, great job, even if I'm a little upset you beat us.
Kennedy, just awesome. Even down multiple members, your show was amazing to watch.

What a crazy competition! The final results ended in Linn Mar and Kennedy in a tie. Great River uses a ranking system and both were ranked with two 1st's, a 2nd, and a 3rd. They then went to the vocal score and that was tied as well (Great River is a very vocal driven competition thus the use of the vocal scores instead or choreography)... So to break that tie they went to the daytime vocal score... where Kennedy was higher than Linn Mar. If you look at the raw scores, Linn Mar actually won by 1.1 points, so overall it was a joint victory!
From the Linn Mar perspective, we are so proud of Happiness and what they have accomplished in one week. The support that was seen today between the two schools was so great and we could not have asked for a better result! Congratulations to both groups! We both deserve so much credit for not only our amazing performances, but the amount of professionalism and support between what has previously been a very intense rivalry!
Thank you for an awesome day Davenport Central/West hosts!!

No... My tweet was wrong... I was typing too fast.

Kennedy got Vocals AND Choreo.

Michael Reese also explained they had to break two ties with Linn Mar to find the GC.

Just got home from dinner. That was the first time in...8 Great Rivers? that I was out of there within 30 minutes of the scheduled time. I don't have oodles of comments outside of being rather stunned West wasn't in finals, but both City High and North were very solid and deserving of their well-earned spots in finals.

I was going to come today, but then I felt a little under the weather, so I decided to stay home with a self-concocted remedy and keep updated via SCC, instead of unintentionally infecting someone else if I am contagious.
