Also, thanks you Waconia for having the most fabulous critique judge to walk the earth: Mark Mangold. The Jefferson choirs ADORE him, and I hope everyone else does too! =>

Thank you all so much for hosting my favorite competition of the year. Last year I absolutely loved it, but this year, it was just filled with even more amazing memories and great fun! We are so grateful for such a nice group whom we feel are our second show choir family. We absolutely love all of the Waconia show choirs and cannot wait to cheer you on at the next competition. Also, thank you for cheering us on, Waconia students, during finals. It really really helped us get pumped up! WE LOVE WACONIA

To you and the other Jefferson poster, I'm glad you guys had so much fun at our competition!!! After all the hard work put into it, that is so refreshing to hear. You guys were great performers and so much fun to have in our school and in Waconia! Congratulations yesterday, and good luck with the rest of your season!

To Everyone Involved in making Star Power possible:

First I just have to say that this is my favorite competition of them all! You all do such a great job of making it a comfortable, fun place to be! I love it!
Second, I want to thank you so much for streaming the competition live online. My grandpa lives in Arizona and every year looks forward to the day of this competition because he knows he can watch his granddaughter perform live from the other side of the country! It's definitely the highlight of his winter being able to watch everyone perform! He is one proud Papa! And he is from St. Boni, so he loves his Waconia team too!! Our whole family just loves the Waconia high school community so much, and thank you from all of the Bloomington Jefferson families for making yesterday so fun! We love Waconia!!

I know what you mean about the livestream I have relatives in Texas who had never seen show choir till the livestream last year. It's really great to know that your family and friends around the world can see you dancing your heart out :D

everything margaux said is how i feel too, pretty much. yet i still feel the need to gush on my own. it's who i am, i suppose.

first and formost. totino grace! if you didn't hear me last night, i absolutely love your show. everything about it is fantastic. the prelims performance was impeccable in my eyes, but it was my first time seeing the show, haha. you seem like you guys really really really love your show and what you're doing, and that's what i continually look for in shows. that's always the most important to me, above all. my jaw was on the floor when the women came out in those beautiful dresses during the ballad! i was jealous of you last year with those sailor dresses, but these are a different story! i am green with envy to the fullest. my favorite part of the show was the boys/ girls attitude sort of numbers.... if that makes sense! you guys do sassy so well! i read somewhere earlier this year that people liked your show but they felt as though it lacked something when compared to last year. i feel completely opposite! your show last year was beautiful but for some reason i connect with this one more. congratulations on your win! and obvs to my buddy tuck for best male solo.

bemidji! i adored the things you changed since eau claire. i love the first half of your show so much! it keeps me so entertained (:

wahlert! wowowowow! I LOVED THE FIRST HALF OF YOUR SHOW! and those opening costumes are beautiful, girls. those shoes! oh those shoes. i really loved you guys.

jefferson! i liked you in eau claire and i loved you in waconia, if that makes sense! tons of improvement, in my eyes. your ballad is one of my favorites this year and your vocal talent continues to impress me.

old abe! i had the pleasure of sitting next to a show choir dad of yours, and he really loves you guys. it made me miss my show choir family so much. your opener brought back so many great memories for me, seeing we did the same opener junior year. i absolutely loved your take on it. your choreography was sharp and crisp and you had beautiful vocal moments. i was smiling your entire show. you guys truly love to perform and i see it in your show. (:

jive! congratulations girls. you were amazing and i was happy to see you go home with that trophy! you are all such a joy. excited to see you again this season.

OH! two more notes.

-margaux and i have been going to that perkins forever, and after many show choir activites.. and kristie has been my waitress before. how does she not know what show choir is, still? come on world. (: haha.

-i took tons of photos of finals when i had a decent view! mainly of totino, power company and bemidji. if anyone would like to see them or anything, let me know!

and of course POWER COMPANY. How could I forget.
Well you guys set a record by making me cry in the first 30 seconds of your show, so that pretty much sums it up.

and the CURRENT: love you guys! So much energy, I could tell you guys were just having a blast up there today.

Ahh my first Star Power not being a member of a Waconia Show Choir...very bittersweet!
First of all, I would like to make a formal complaint that Mr. Olson did not deliver the results by riding in on a panda bear. I even offered to bring a horse he could ride in on, but whatever, life goes on!

I'll try to remember some thoughts on groups we saw today...although it's almost 4 am and I'm in a food coma.

Wahlert: Your opener...wow! I loved it. You guys really pulled it off. And I love your opener dresses. And I love your opener girls shoes. And I love the Killers so I was pretty much dancing along the whole show. You also have some incredible sopranos!

Marshall: Oh hey, I hosted y'all last year! I really liked your ballad and those black dresses with the stud thingies on them. Sooo cute. And the last girls shoes were killer. I liked your show as a whole and it kept me entertained the whole time!

Old Abe: LOVED the opener, Cece and I were dancing along the whole time. Good memories of Ain't Nothing Wrong With That as an opener haha! Your ballad was really pretty too. A really cool choice! I also really like your hair.

Jive: You rocked it, as always! Your show was so fun and entertaining. And your BALLAD. Love. I'm not a Pink fan, but I love that song, so you guys singing it solved my problem haha. Your soloists are all awesome and I can tell you all really love performing.

Encore: I cannot express how much I love your dresses. AND the guy outfits. I'm probably talking about costumes too much. But whatever. The guys and girls look so good together. You guys have a very "totino" (I mean that as a very good thing) feel to your show. It's very pretty and flowy but energetic and fun all at the same time.

Connection: I saw you guys at Eau Claire just 2 weeks ago and I was impressed then...but I can tell you guys have put in a lot of work and you really blew me away! I obviously have to mention how much I love your yellow dresses. And how much I LOVE the ballad solo. Your choreo was extra clean and your vocals were really beautiful!

Vocalmotive: Great opener! It's very entertaining and beautifully sung and executed. The entire show had beautiful pure vocals. The second half of the show is so fun to watch and the saxophone player is awesome! That section really adds to the show and mixes it up, which I like since I have a short attention span haha.

Company: Wow. Wow wow wow. This year is definitely my favorite Company show I've ever seen! All of the costumes are beautiful. As usual, I want one of every one of the girls dresses. The backdrops and giant dice really added to the visuals too. All of the songs were perfect song choices. You guys definitely put on a show rather than just singing and dancing and having facials. Everything worked together and you guys made magic! Vocals were beautiful, choreography was beautiful. I loved every minute!

Also, a shout out to Bemidji, who we happened to go to the same Perkins as. We all need our 2 am breakfasts and malts after such a big day! And even after all the show choir people packed the Perkins, our waitress still didn't know what show choir was. So we explained everything to her. Good times.

Thank you so much to everyone who made Star Power possible! It was really a great day!

Good job Vermillion! I'm proud of you guys!

Old Abe doing "Lost in the Wilderness" as a ballad. Didn't expect that.
