I'm so proud of Hastings. They did so well in the Finals. I was there all day, and Watching all the show choirs during prelims, it was hard to tell who was in first. They were all really good, Each one having something Unique and fantastic in their show. It was so enjoying to watch them all. But during Finals, I could tell that Hastings took that lead. They went above and beyond. It was such a good performance. And ATSC was amazing too. Again, all the Show Choirs today did Wonderful!
Viterbo officials announced that the "Best Band" award, awarded in prelims, should have gone to Cedar Rapids Xavier. Omaha Westside was ineligible due to adults in the combo.

Congrats to all groups that performed at Viterbo today! I'm definitely a little sad to see ATSC fall to 2nd after their 1st place performance in the daytime, but congrats to Hastings! Best Vocals AND Choreography! I can't wait to see their show at some point this year.
Best Band was taken away from Omaha Westside. No mischief, it was determined that Omaha Westside's band was not eligible because the band has an adult pianist. I would guess that the award would be re-awarded, but not sure.
Stupid "Best Band" rules. Plank is still a kid in my eyes.

GC: Linn-Mar
1RU: Hastings
2RU: Westside
3RU: Xavier (If only because it's their first comp with a new director)
4RU: Milton (Ditto)
5RU: Madison East
Weird predictions, I know, but I saw Linn-Mar's show on YouTube and I really liked it, so who knows what'll happen. Really, the top 5 could go any way though... please don't get mad at me before or after these turn out to be totally wrong.
