I told him- he said to say hi back. Where are you going to college? You'll have to go see Hairspray at Albuquerque Little Theatre- it's like a show choir reunion.

That's so cool! I posted this on your wall but I was in Gold Rush when Xavier was in Mainstreet! I haven't talked to him in forever but he is such a great guy. Tell him hello for me!

it's official, Eldorado's new director is going to be Megan Rader. She's originally from Desert Ridge, but is in fact EHS and Gold Rush alumni! I'm very excited for her and am confident that we are going to have a fantastic year.

Do you know if any prelim videos are posted also? I wanted to see Volcano Vista and a few other groups

I think she might have posted VVHS- she's working on posting all of them. If you search Showfest 2011- it's under Michelle Woolley's youtube account- I think the screen name has abq1 in it. I think she might have posted vids from the summer camp too.

Lol- that's true. I think they have to post the position- even if it's for someone who is already in the APS system. Schools are always trying to get around that- but it's better in the end to post it because they can get in trouble if they don't. The only downside is when they already know who they're going to hire and someone spends the money to come in from out of town to interview for a position that they have no chance of getting.

I believe the idea is to avoid that, but no matter what happens, the choirs will be in good hands. I'm incredibly excited to see them next year, even if it sucks that I won't be with them ):

I'm almost positive that isn't true. But there are some logistics going around with trying to fill the spot because we want to do what Clarissa Clark did and take another director from a different school, so there's procedures that need to be filled. and We just took first place at ShowFest, and we're pretty much the only group that wins anything anymore at Eldorado in a relatively consistent manner. They'll be taking away football before I let them give up the choir program. (:

That rumor isn't true. I believe this coming week is when they will be offering the new director the job officially. I think that's the real story

I hope so. The reality is that you all have to earn 25 credits and APS has to offer enough electives to fill those 25 electives- so, I didn't see how they would get rid of it- but you never know.

Jordan there's a rumor out there that aps isn't going to replace Todd when he leaves- by your post I'm wondering if this is true- is it? If it is that will be horrible! It's such a great program for the kids.

Congratulations to all the choirs who competed this year and I'm incredibly proud to go out of competitive show choir with that final Gold Rush run, regardless of placement. Everyone did a fantastic job!

also, about being stuck in Chicago, it was a lot of fun and I truly enjoyed the experience of singing in so many places regardless of the fact that we didn't make finals. We were fantastic in our own way and we came back to ShowFest a stronger group than ever. This year's Gold Rush was extremely special, even if the scores don't show us that way.
