Did I mention how big the trophies were? Cuz they were huge. The Grand Champion trophy was almost as tall as I am, and I'm 6'3".

What was your favorite number you saw all day? I know it will be really hard to choose. I'm personally really a fan of Clinton's ballad. That was for sure the best thing I saw or heard all day.
I'd have to say my favorite number was Mitchells opener. Just so clean and precise. I remember looking at it and going "WOW"
Hastings guy's number was one of the better guys numbers i had seen all year!
Clintons ballad was just beautiful. I could close my eyes and listen all day... how do they sing so great when they have such thick accents!?

LC getting bested day round by Hastings and CRK doesn't bother me because LC only this year made it back into the top 5 in Indy. Last year minus their vocal power, they were a mess. I didn't have them in Finals at what was it... fairfield? So that shows you exactly what you know about Indiana choirs. Your example of why Iowa is better than Indiana, because of your lack of knowledge, made me feel even more strongly that my opinion is the right one.

If you're a "very old alumni" then why did you not set your status as "Alumni" instead of "Student" when you created your account just this past December?...
I'm a VERY old alum, and i've asked for my account to be changed from student 3 times now.
Scott, leave it to you to bring Franklin Central into every competition forum. Just to let you know, when Indiana and Iowa/Minnesota choirs competed against each other last year (to my knowledge no one has competed against each other this year) it was pretty even, if not on the side of Iowa/Minnesota...
At North Central, Cedar Rapids Jefferson won beating Lafayette Jefferson, Zionsville, and Plainfield- 3 very good groups.
At FAME Chicago in day round Totino-Grace, Hastings, and Cedar Rapids Kennedy were beating Lawrence Central and Huntington North in day round. LC came back to beat Hastings and Kennedy in finals, but it was a SUPER close competition.
Indiana is not the powerhouse state it used to be back when you were in school. This side of the midwest has improved SOOOO much since then. Maybe you should come over sometime and actually see one of these groups and then you can talk. But I know for a fact you have never seen any of those groups live. So you should keep your mouth shut when you don't know what you are talking about.

Dear Dude from Waconia, Does it matter if ihe is or is not from hastings anymore? no I didnt think so. So stop getting at conclusions when the conclusion doesnt matter. The whole point he was trying to make is to stop singling out groups and saying they didnt deserve it. DONE AND DONE.
People kept saying that waconia should have beet them and that mitchell should have beat them and that hastings was not even close to getting best vocals. BUT GUESS WHAT? Hastings obviously deserved it. ALL the judges put them in second and they beat clinton in vocals by 8 points. Which means they probably beat the rest of the groups by TONS of points. so lets jsut end this now. All groups were amazing.
Thank you Mr. Fehr for giving us that knowledge. I think it's very interesting how the judges were mostly in agreeance about everything I think it shows that results are how they should've gone. And these are 3 judges who's opinions I greatly respect. Hopefully this will silence any talk about people deserving/not deserving their placings.
