This may have already been answered but is there a schedule change at all with "The Current" being moved to the Open Division?! They way that one post made it look was that "La Voce Ballo" and "The Current" were flipping spots...but no one actually stated this...

1. Tucker... I love you. Enough said.
From,
Martin
2. I TOTALLY HAD NO INTENTION OF STARTING A FAD WITH MY WEIRD PREDICTION, but I enjoyed seeing everyone's predictions so much. Lol. ESPECIALLLY THAT GUY FROM PREBLE! Hehehe.
3. This is going to be a fantastic conversation! That's all.

Just kidding. That's not all. GO HASTINGS. lol. I love you guys. And totes as well! They are my other fave!

I have never seen Mitchell (I don't think at least? Have you been to Totino before?), so my only real experience with them is when they were reported as being the culprits who brought the flu to SCA at Millikin in 2006 (The year when EVERYONE got sick, me included. Like puking everywhere sick.)

Off topic, BUT TOTALLY OUR FAULT. Totally. Ha, we're terrible sorry about that. I got really sick on Thursday, I remember. Thankfully I was fine for final performance! That bus ride home though wasn't the best.. no, sir.

Still super excited for Totino! We're super healthy this weekend though, we promise. (:

I've been saying "March 5th March 5th March 5th" over and over in my head since August. And now it's March 5th in two days.

I'm pretty much just gonna die. 98% of everyone I love in the show choir world is going to be there, INNUMERABLE RUNNING HUGS WILL ENSUE. I've NEVER been so psyched for a competition, and I haven't seen Clinton live since '07. Can't wait. Can. Not. Wait.

I've never made a prediction before, but I'm super excited to see all these groups on Saturday, they're all so amazing and have great records. So I'm thinking...

GC: Clinton (saw them live in Nashville 3 years ago, never seen a cleaner, more put together group)
1RU: Mitchell (I've heard good things and they were great last year)
2RU: Hastings (Always have really entertaining, fun shows)
3RU: Waconia (I was blown away by you guys at Eau Claire, you've really gotten great over the years)
4RU: Bemidji (Always been one of my favorite choirs)
5RU: Bloomington Jefferson (Of course Love you guys, every time I see you, you get better and impress me even more)

BV: Clinton
BC: Clinton
BB: Clinton/Jefferson

Special good luck to Connection, I'm really hoping to see you guys in finals on Saturday

Goodness... this wonderful competition which I've decided to name "The Show Choir Mecca of the World" (2011 style) is only 2 days away. I haven't been this excited for a competition since the days when I myself was a singer/dancer. See you all there!

I could seriously see Mitchell taking this one. I understand that they have a very experienced group and return most of the kids they had from that amazing group last year. It's unlikely, but crazier things have happened in the show choir world. I can't wait to see what happens.

My predictions:

Grand Champion: Mitchell "Friend de Coup"
First Runner Up: Clinton "Attache"
Second Runner Up: Waconia "Power Company"
Third Runner Up: Hastings "Riverside Company"
Fourth Runner Up: Bemidji "Vocalmotive"
Fifth Runner Up: Blooming Jefferson "Jefferson Connection"

Best Vocals: Clinton "Attache"
Best Choreography: Mitchell "Friend de Coup"
Best Band: Anyone honestly could take this.

I'm gonna stick with my original predictions. I'll probably be wrong, but I don't care Whoever wins, it's gonna be a fantastic group with amazing kids. Honestly, these groups that are going have some of the nicest show choir kids ever. (Mitchell, Clinton, and Hastings I know for sure through competiting against them or SCA) and the other groups I've heard great things. This is going to be one of the best, toughest, nicest competitions ever. Good luck to everyone!

Ahh the judges will be in heaven, such great show choirs, I also agree with Mr. Temple said about Clinton they are so polite and very nice! I got to see there show in 09 at Show Choir Nationals, I loved it! BUT! we will go with predictions.

GC-Clinton (Sweep) I usually love their vocals and how clean they are
1RU- Mitchell (I have always wanted to see them live, they seem great and have done very well!)
2RU-Waconia
3RU-Hastings
4RU-Bemidji ( I love Bemidji!)
5RU-Craig

Also watch Totino! They are quickly becoming a favorite of mine!
Good luck to all competing!

2 issues here.

The Minnesota Vikings win at being cooler than you.
And 2, unfortunately, I don't think Totino uses the super tall risers anymore. A few years ago Urbandale broke one during their celebration of winning Grand Champion, and I remember last year they had "regular" risers. It was a sad day...

Actually we didn't break the riser. We broke the stage. The leg of one of the extra tall trampoline-like risers actually busted through the wood stage decking as they were jumping up and down.

It was hilarious the way they went from joyously celebrating to just standing there sheepishly in a split second.

Haha, sorry for being , but I am from Green Bay after all. ;)
Anyway, good luck to everyone Saturday! If I didn't have Solo/Ensemble, I would definitely be there but I'm still holding out hope that some wonderful person will hook up a camera to a computer somewhere and stream the competition to their less fortunate friends not in attendance.

I'm really bored, so my turn! Apologies to everyone who won't understand my jokes at all.

GC: The Minnesota Vikings (the Vikings winning something? hah. hah.)
1RU: Charlie Sheen
2RU: Combination of Divaz, ESS, Jive, and LVB
3RU: The genius who made the risers taller at this comp
4RU: Totino-Grace Marching Band
5RU: The poor people who have to tabulate all of the ridiculously high scores

BV: Whichever fan section screams the loudest for their prep group
BC: Whichever side of the gym does the wave better
BB: Preble Drumline
