looks like cecelia shall be sitting in the gym from 10:45 to pre lim awards, roughly.
this competition is so stacked! i keep saying that, but the more clear it is the more i look.
there are so many wonderful groups i need to see!

(don't mind my obligatory 'omg i am so excited, this comp is insane' post)

I was in Connection years ago. I wanted that to say Alumi rather than Student. I'm not sure how to change it?

If a crew or staff member sees it on here they may be able to make the change. Otherwise there's a forum in a different part of the website where you can post and ask for your status to be changed.

To be clear: jw2011 isn't currently in Connection and definitely does not reflect the opinions of our group.

Just because you beat them once doesn't mean you'll beat them every time, Kara. I'm almost positive that the judges at Totino will be different from the ones who scored you when you competed against Bemidji, Craig, and Hastings, and it will also be much later in the season that you're competing against these groups. Just like you guys have improved a ton this year, I'm sure these other groups have as well. I was told by a member of Vocalmotive that since Eau Claire, they've DOUBLED their practice time, practicing four days a week. Nothing's for sure, and you'll have to work hard to earn a good placement. I'm not saying you can't, but I'm not saying these other groups can't either. This whole competition is going to be such a toss-up, even two weeks out, I don't think anyone can really tell who will place where.

Thats not what i was saying at all Dylan. I was smiply stating facts...i said basically all that on another forum.

Excuse me, I'm entitled to my opinion. You don't have to get mean about it.

Good points. This season especially has seen a lot of groups win one week, and then lose to the same groups the next week, and then beat them again, etc etc.

Also, Bemidji has always performed VERY well at Totino, so you can never count them out here.

Waconia has already placed higher than hastings bemidji and craig.

Thanks for that information but I just predicted blindly. It is sure to be wrong. Nothing but my own opinion.

I think it'll go:

GC: Clinton
1RU: Mitchell
2RU: Hastings
3RU: Bemidji
4RU: Craig
5RU: Waconia

Clinton sweep all captions.

I really wish there was a group who could stop Attache, but I really don't see it happening. They are just too perfect. They may have a boring show, but they perform it to perfection so it's hard to penalize them.

I don't find their show boring at all. I think Attaché recently is one of the more innovative groups around. Many groups seems to be following the model of what Attaché did 5-10 years ago... while they themselves have already moved on to doing new things.

With that said, I will be cheering on Attaché at this competition, but it wouldn't really surprise me necessarily if they didn't win. I still think that they will, but after they dropped a caption to Wheaton-Warrenville last weekend, who knows?

I'm not even going to try predicting anything else here, though! Way too many great groups... it's just going to be a fantastic day of show choir
