I really wish there was a group who could stop Attache, but I really don't see it happening. They are just too perfect. They may have a boring show, but they perform it to perfection so it's hard to penalize them.

Boring show? :/

Yes there are. I know they have their opener and guys number up. I think maybe their closer is up, too.
Their full second number and ballad is up too.

It looks like there will be several Stephen Todd groups here as well. I think that April AND Stephen choreograph for Attache.

This competition is so stacked. I'm going to root for the underdogs here. GO B-TOWN!! I'm also really biased towards my own city. Connection has been steadily improving since competition season has started, we were only 8 points behind bemidji in prelims at waconia. then... we were disappointed in finals. either way, I think that this could go a lot of different ways. i saw a really poor youtube video of clinton this year and i wasn't amazed by any means. but i also just really need to see them live. i saw clinton live freshmen year and i've watched a bunch of youtube clips from years past and i think that they are beatable. They're an incredibly strong groups but this is a solid lineup, so it could happen. Chances are, it won't, but who knows. This competition could end a hundred different ways. It'll be interesting to have so many April James choirs there. She's kind of a big deal, I think. Even if Connection doesn't make finals, I might stay and just watch finals because it's going to be an INCREDIBLE finals lineup. But I really want to make finals.

Despite Clinton beating Wheaton last night, I think that the closeness of the outcome only proves Attache's vulnerability. They definately seem beatable.

Clinton beat Wheaton Warrenville last night. Just random fact that pertains to this competition!
And Wheaton took Best Choreography while Clinton got Best Vocals.

As a Spotlighter alum, I've been looking at Spots' chances of making finals here. Based a lot on reputations, but also from what I've seen this year, I think Clinton, Mitchell, Hastings, Bemidji, and Waconia are pretty solid for finals. (The first 4, mostly on reputation, Waconia from what I was at Milton) In my mind that leaves Spots fighting with Jefferson and Kennedy for the last finals spot.

The Ethan Price predicted that Mitchell would take Grand Champion and Best Choreography.
Thank you for pointing this out! Though I do believe that I am the only one who has anyone but Clinton on top

All I know is that it is going to be an AMAZING day of show choir for the spectators. Bemidji, Bloomington Jefferson, Bloomington Kennedy, Hastings, Clinton, Janesville Craig, Mitchell, and Waconia - not to mention the host group Totino-Grace... that is nine show choirs that have the potential to win Grand Championships at many competitions across the country.

Lucky you Spencer!

It looks to me like everyone who has actually made a listed prediction (not one that says "the top three could be any of these...") has put Clinton on top. Do you think there's a potential for a shakeup?

I definitely think it could go one of many different ways. Honestly, if you MADE me predict everything, I would agree with Greg (ghunt) on his predictions. But everything is going to be so close (like Chris said) that predicting is really just a guessing game.

I've never seen Clinton live, so I don't know much about them besides what I've heard through the grapevine. From what I understand, they're undefeated, correct? Does anyone think that any of the choirs competing against Clinton really has the potential to beat them?

here or in general?
Yes, here i do believe that Mitchell has a chance to beat them.
And if Totino were able to compete against Clinton i would say there could be a good chance they would beat them too.

Clinton is beatable, but they are a very very very good choir.

I can't make predictions cause I feel like it will all be VERY close. And i think a lot closer then anyone thinks too.
