and PS Gretna can't make finals, because it is their comp. correct?

You are correct, I wasn't thinking adequately.

Wow. I just saw Prairie tonight at Onalaska, and let me just say watch out Nebraska. This is a FUN FUN show with really good choreography, and I know they will sound better than on that horrible sound system at Onalaska. Everyone sounded like crap there today except GCS.

I would also anticipate Papillion La-Vista, Gretna and CR Prairie making finals.

I never said that others don't have a shot... it's a new year and Papio has had a few winning shows in the past years... but I have a good feeling that 14 KG will come away with it considering they have came in 2nd at this comp for at least the past 3 years and the team that has beat them was Hastings Riverside who is not here this year... so if all holds true to the other years 14 Karat may finaly get to open there season with a win which hasn't happend in quite some time... It is sad that I finaly feel confident about that statement just because Hastings won't be there, but that is the situation. But yet again may I reiterate that I feel "confident" not that they have it in the bag; a very big difference.

14 Karat will open this season with a win

As a public service I will point out that goaliekeeper2010 has been a member of GINW "14 Karat Gold Singers" at some point within the past year, based off of a post he made on the thread for this competition last year.

I have not seen these show choirs so far this year, but if historical trends hold up I imagine GINW will have a good chance at winning this competition. Shack knows how to get them ready. I would also anticipate Papillion La-Vista, Gretna and CR Prairie making finals.
