Totino did lose a best band this year, they haven't swept everything...
Personally, I view a sweep as GC/BV/BC. Best band has different rules at different places and some choirs aren't even eligible for it based on those criteria.

I am going to say Totino wins... but idk how i feel about a sweep. Vocals for sure...

How is BG choreo this year?

*edit*
from results I think totino should sweep... I think totino has gone against some very good groups and swept everything. They should continue this streak!
but that is why its show choir- to compete and get the results!

GO COMPANY!

Totino did lose a best band this year, they haven't swept everything...They have beast vocals, but so does BG...I think it will be really close, plus who knows what's being looked at in Nashville with choir that are very strong...but at the same time have very different shows. Oh and BG's chorepgraphy is really clean, which is why it'll be close...everyone is bringing their own caliber of shows.

Ahh...I don't know who to cheer for, I have good Friends in both Buffalo Grove and Totino!! How about, Go Show Choir Nationals!!!

Out of curiosity, what's the record for groups that perform in prelims on Thursday? I feel like that performing a day earlier could be bad for "bubble" groups that might make it into finals if they performed on Friday... I have no proof, and am just asking, so please don't get offended.
Last year Urbandale performed Thursday night and made finals. Pekin also performed and did not. I think it's a good thing to question having some of the groups go a completely different night. It's hard to judge the same competition on two different days...

We got to go to SCN my senior year!!! It was a blast! The Opryland Hotel is GIANT and beautiful! And of course performing in the Grand Ole Opry is so wonderful!

So excited to be going to Nashville! Cant wait to see Totino Grace, I've heard so much about them. I do know for sure that Buffalo Grove will bring it, their show is top notch! Their ballad is so beautiful, the soloist's voice will just melt your heart. You can always count on their vocals overall and the choreo is right up there too.
Good luck to everyone competing, and a safe journey to all!

Anyways, random predictions:
GC: Totino-Grace
1RU: Buffalo Grove
2RU: Jackson Prep
3RU: Opelika
4RU: Homestead
5RU: Pascagoula

There is a mistake in the performance schedule above. Pascagoula "IMPACT" is performing Friday morning around 11:45-ish instead of Thursday evening.

Hmmmm... I have never seen Totino live but I'm a hugebfan of buffalo grove. Based on what I have seen live, YouTube, and hearing about other first hand accounts:
GC:Totino/ Buffalo
1RU: Totino/ Buffalo
2RU: Jackson Prep (they beat Opelika and Pascagoula pretty soundly at homewood)
3RU:Homestead/ Edgewood
4RU: Homestead/ Edgewood
5RU: Opelika/ Pascagoula

Also the 3rd 4th and 5th runner ups could swap. Opelika is the only show choir I have seen besides Auburn to have "swagger" it's awesome.

Wow. Great representation of Southern Show Choir! Obviously, Totino Grace is a favorite. But there are some really good groups (Buffalo Grove, Jackson Prep, Pascagoula). I personally would love Jackson Prep or Pascagoula pull it off. Jackson Prep's show is quite fantastic and Pascagoula, judging from past years, are always a powerhouse for their size.

Yeah I saw that too and that's what the site said, I just copy and pasted...my best guess is awards then they'll get their pic taken? unless it's on the nationals site wrong?

I suppose that makes sense. To not keep the other groups waiting and such. Well, I'll get to see them get their picture taken, maybe, even if I don't get to see their show.

I'm guessing you meant either 2:00 or 2:15 PM? Considering the awards are scheduled for 2:30 PM...

I'm beyond excited for this competition. Not only on a competitive side (though there are some amazing groups coming that I really want to be able to see >), but on a personal side, because we (TG) will get to spend several days down in Nashville. I can't wait!

I watched BG and Totino's shows and I think it's going to be close. Totino is huge compared to BG and is just so amazing vocally but you never know.

My director tried getting us to go to Show Choir Nationals, but our school district isn't allowing any schools in the district go out of state. :/

I am going out on a limb:

GC: Totino-Grace
1RU: Buffalo Grove
2RU: Opelika
3RU: Jackson Prep
4RU: Edgewood/Homestead/Pascagoula

Edgewood just got their entire group back this past week after our girls basketball team went farther in the state tournament than expected. Hopefully by then they will be performing at their top notch.

This is basically a blind guess.
