Please don't call us sore losers. You weren't there so you don't know how it felt. And sorry. I meant something was fishy as in the different score sheets we got. It's all over now though, and Charisma has moved on. We are now focusing on our competition show. So good luck to everyone out there this year! We are looking forward to competing and shocking the show choir world!!!
Other than some sore losers posting here, where's the evidence of anything "fishy" going on, or anyone "holding grudges?"
Remember that comparing points from one judge to another gives a mixed-up perspective of what goes down. Some judges spread points very little - sometimes just single digits or fractions of points between all placings. Some use a broad range to give themselves more room to accurately depict what they're seeing and hearing. Really the only fair comparison is rankings, but even that isn't an exact science - especially in a contest where there are few groups and all are of similar quality.
even so...this doesn't mean Chris Brush is crazy, it just means that he didn't think northrop should have won...i mean it was very close, so I guess it doesn't matter
Yeah, on the link, those aren't the real scoring sheets. Someone just wrote down the scores for each group and judge. Everything was right, but Giest's scores were mixed up for northrop and dekalb. We had the 99 and they had the 97.
Joe that's wrong... Maupin showed us the sheets. John wenning had us in first with a 101, dekalb girls with a 100, and dekalb mix with a 99. Rick Geist had us in first with a 98, and dekalb miked with a 9 i think. I just know there was a 2 point difference between us. And chris bruch had dekalb in first and us in fourth. (He also had Norwell ahead of us, but they were a host school.) He had us twelve points out of first place though. I don't know what scores sheets you had, but if it said that 2 judges had dekalb in first, then the score sheets are wrong.

Corrections from my posts: Two of the three judges had Dekalb in 1st. The judges ranked Northrop in 1st, 2nd, and 4th. Hopefully this clears up the misinformation that was spread and that I posted from after awards on Thursday.
Apparently there may have been some mis-communications last night between the judges scores and what people 'heard' the judges scores actually were.
But two of the judges had Northrop in 1st and Dekalb CC in 2nd and the third judge had Northrop very low. As in, too low to be believable. That's what I know of, but once they mail out the scores I'm sure someone will verify or correct that.

Also, someone should give me Northrop's data for this year. ;)
