Look out for Solon, they are a very talented group this year and they will surprise people.
Also Twinsburg will do well because they have some very clean Choreo and their vocals are pretty awesome!
And finally go Marysville you guys did so well last week at Fairfield!
Good competition!

Finals Prediction: (no order)
Center Grove
Solon/Bishop Luers
Lawrence Central
Marysville
Twinsburg
Carmel

Predictions:

GC: Carmel (they redeemed themselves at Carroll and now i'm predicting a SWEEP)
1RU: Twinsburg
2RU: Lawrence Central
3RU: Center Grove
4RU: Marysville
5RU: Bishop Luers

Vocals: Carmel
Choreo: Carmel
Combo: Carmel

Lawrence Central could move up and take on twinsburg I think. Center Grove also could have had enough time to pull their show together by now, and could place higher. They were a complete mess at pike though, and with all the costume changes and gimmicks, it was very clear they were desperately trying to make up for a lack of something. Maybe they're really young this year. Who knows.

Does anyone know how much the Tickets will be for daytime / finals?

I believe usually around the $10 range and I think last year it was $17 for the entire day. .

A note about finals...

As usual we will take the top six choirs from Championship Division and they will perform in the gymnasium. But, we have increased the number of festival/women's finalists from four to six and they will perform in the auditorium. The MS champion will perform in exhibition before the start of the Championship Division finals.

ETC Main Street Singers will be competing in the Middle School Division. I am so excited! I remember coming to this competition and showcasing as a 5th grader. It was definitely my favorite competition.

Predictions are generally based on opinion which is why don't get into them. In terms of logic though, I think these go against the grain. Especially in regards to this season. Lawrence Central has beaten Center Grove and Marysville already this season and I believe in their exhibition at LC Classic they scored higher than CG's Grand Championship score. Carmel's first time out is this weekend and while they are starting relatively late, they are always well-rehearsed. usually they peak at their last contest. Bishop Luers won and took a vocals caption over North Central Counterpoints at Mooresville last weekend. Just a bit of perspective based on results.

*I should point out that contrary to my profile info, I'm no longer directly affiliated with Lawrence Central Show Choirs

Correction on my earlier post. I have never seen LC either. So I didn't know where to put them in my predictions.

i wish everyone good luck at this competition! but in my opinion i wouldn't place CG very high I've seen their show twice this year and although its over the top their vocals aren't as great...in my opinion this is their down year ( i always love to see CG but i was very disappointed when i seen them) no shade tho...there are alot of good groups competing so i wish everyone the best..

BakerFF on Mar 4, 2011, 12:49 AM

While it has been an interesting compeition season I'm going to not make any predictions here. I feel like I can't really take any previous competitions and make a really good decision on who I think would be at the top especially since I haven't seen any of the Indiana groups that are coming. On top of that this is a differrent competition. Different venue, different judges, different everything. This should be a fantastic competition. Probably the best Classic in years!
