They would need to pay exorbitant fees on licensing music to make that happen. Not possible.

So how does Mediacom get away with broadcasting things like Great River and Fab Five? I wonder if it's because it's local public access.

That's my guess. Broadcasting something on ESPN and broadcasting something on Mediacom is a bit of a difference in exposure

Has anyone noticed that according to Fame's website, regional winners are no longer being comped for hotels? Performance fee only is comped this year. Of course if Fame would take my advice and televise this competition, they could probably continue the hotel comp.

Does anyone have a full list of pre-lims placements?
I do not know a full lists of placements but i do know that Mt. Zion was in first by .1 point. Then in finals the rankings were also very close turning around to Wheaton's favor. It was an awesome awesome battle.

I think they need to add another prelim spot in New Orleans or somewhere south like that. Orlando is a little far for certain schools and another spot would probably work. Any other location ideas?
YESSSSSSSSSSSS New Orleans would be great!!!!!!!!!!! Plus a big help to the small, struggling, basically non-existent show choir programs in Louisiana! And it would just be nice to have a National Competition close...

I dont have a full list of pre-lims, but i heard that Mt. Zion was in first by .1 point, and a close second came to Wheaton.
Things then turned around in finals with really close rankings for scoring.

New Orleans is definitely too close to Orlando compared to other places.

Haha you have a point since the one right now is in a suburb....

Due to the corruption that pervades every level of Chicago (and every politician that comes out of Chicago), holding Fame in Chicago probably costs twice as much as having it in Waukegan.

You make a point.... Haha no wonder some congressman wants to separate Cook County from Illinois... Anyways, it would be cool to actually have it in Chicago though.

maybe ... (and here is a CRAZY idea) it will actually be held IN chicago...

I don't think they are changing the qualifying sites because there are groups that are scheduled to go to FAME Chicago, like Urbandale. So I would assume that FAME will just be having the National Championship in Chicago if that is where it is held this year. Maybe at a different venue than where the FAME Chicago site is now?

Interesting that the National Championship could be held near where last year's champion is located.....

So maybe, if what I read is true, FAME's final culminating event will be at another FAME site, and say, FAME Indianapolis would become a qualifier for FAME Chicago if Patrick is right.

Yes it will be traveling. I'm not sure if they have announced the location for this year yet though.

Quick question, and I am not sure if anybody knows the answer to this yet, but is the culminating FAME event going to always remain in Indianapolis, or will it travel... like around the nation. Sorta like the olympics... do you know what I mean?
