I don't think the director of Attache was a judge at nationals....

to add even more of a conspiracy, wasn't Clinton Attache's director a judge at Nationals? By having Burbank lose, Burbank's national ranking went down keeping Attache further ahead as the "top choir". Show choir is like a bad soap opera at times.

Mr. Fehr is a professional. Additionally, national rankings are complete BS, and everyone knows that. Well, anyone that is really informed knows that. That's quite a bold statement you are presenting there "kalcoh."

They generally don't, but they ALWAYS deserve to. I love Carlsbad.

Well it's been a good 4 years in choir. Last night was a great way to end it, I don't think anyone really cared about placings, in our group at least, we just wanted to go out in a bang and enjoy ourselves. Choir has changed so much in the last 4 years, and I can't imagine what it will be like even next year. I just don't know where you can go after this year. With Burbank's show(wow, wow), and Burrough's set, I am intrigued to find out next year. Of course people will lose and there will be a lot of upsets. Maybe judges are partial to names, partial to songs or choirs from certain areas of the country, but I really don't think choir can be accurately judged until "entertainment value" is a category on the score sheet. Any choir can play by the books, but not every choir can captivate an audience.

Well said.

I think Los Al should have been in 3rd personally. But didn't a judge at Nationals mark Burbank down because of some weird reason? They didn't want show choir to be like that?

I think if you read the Program you would get it. They do a 3 part show, 1st part is swingin London 2nd part is Rendezvous in Paris 3rd part is Heartbreak.

It's a really great show especially live but I hope the 3 part explanation helps you out on getting the show.

I watched the live feed so I didn't have the program but thanks for the information! It makes more sense now...

Does anyone know Burbank In Sync's set list this year?

Thanks Chula For The Most Amazing Competition of the Year. Everything was amazing and I had the time of my Life all day! Everyone was extremely nice and it was an honor to see the Out of State Schools Perform.

PS: VIVA LOS BURBANK!!! <333

Yeah, every competition I've been to, I don't think they've ever placed unless being last... :/ I think their show is interesting. The program was weird, it said that Carlsbad Mixed Advanced was called Encore and that Los Alamitos Mixed Advanced was Soundtrax (the women's group name). Yesterday may have been one of the most fun days or depressing days... ( my dog died )

I would have to agree, pretty random:/.

But Carlsbad did great! I loved their show. And choreography was amazing and really different. Good job!

Los Alamitos' finish tonight makes me wonder about their finish at nationals. Regardless, I can't stop listening to Fireflies. Congrats on a great season.

i wish that one of the cameras hadn't been focused on the audience. It made me sad to see the behavior of some of the parents. Many of them didn't even to bother clapping for ANYONE. Some in fact sat with their arms crossed looking very angry/hostile. Please try to be good examples for your children.

Haakon, great to see you on my computer screen! Thank you so much for the live feed, and for all that you do for show choir!

Way to go Burbank High's Show Choirs for their outstanding performances at the Sou. Calif. Show Choir Invitational. In Sync - 1st place, advanced mixed. Impressions - 3rd place, advanced womens. Sound Dogs - 2nd place, mens. Terri and I miss you guys so much. Enjoy the celebration. And now, since it's 1:45am here in Alabama, it's time for this cowboy to go to bed.

Congratulations to Burbank! The end of this competition stuck with its history -- a very close finish. .5 points. Just wow.

Way to surprise us Brea Olinda! What a fantastic ballad.

Also congrats to that Massachusetts group! best of the non-cali groups! Great job!

Someday I'll make it to SoCal. Hopefully with Mom and Andy.

Thank you Haakon for making live feed possible. It was fantastic.

But alas, it is almost 2 AM in non-socal land! But I just had to stay up to see
