Considering LJ placed VERY well at Homestead the next weekend beating Carroll in prelims and Lawrence Central both rounds, I wouldn't discredit the results of the competition. Also... by that point in the year (and still now) North Central had only lost to ONE choir all year.... so IDK how that makes them 4th.... Anyways it's a moot point since NC killed Carroll at State. And it's still a similar situation cuz guess what? An Iowa school came to Indiana and won best vocals AGAIN. The last time CR Jefferson didn't win Best Vocals at an Indiana competition was well before I was in high school, so results still count
And thankfully Cedar Rapids is on the east side of the state, so Jeff really didn't drive through Iowa. They were only in the state for a little over an hour. But I very much agree. Driving through western Iowa SUCKS.
Regardless, this is just about the smallest MIC contest I've ever heard of, so for one of Iowa's best to come out and win it, when most of Indiana's choirs will be elsewhere, hardly makes this a similar situation. Jefferson is good, but I guarantee NC's exhibition outscored them, and for now NC is number 3 or 4 in this state. I kind of feel bad that they drove all that way for a tiny contest like that. I've driven through Iowa, I know how NOT FUN that is...

Who can say, that if more choirs were at this comp CR Jefferson would/would have not placed.... no one knows!!

In 2006 (cr jefferson's BAD year) they came to Pike and got best vocals off CG and almost beat them
in 2007 they went to North central. results were:
GC: Carmel
1RU: CR Jefferson
2RU: Lawrence Central
BV: Jefferson
BC: Carmel
BB: LC

I haven't really "researched" many groups exception for WSD... and I may be biased say this, but I honestly think we can at least give them a run for their money.

well i ddnt even pay attention to where the person was from hahah maybe if i did that then i wouldn have been so confused hahaha but i do remember them though. i liked their show and they were....very enthusiastic.

just got word central sound received all 2rups untill anderson which we (cs) won so i think your facts are wrong sir laf jef did NOT beat us in 2007. years before most definitely they were amazing.
also carmel was AMAZINGINGLY good in 2007 so if they lost to laff jeff it HAD to be early in the season..jus saying
