In Sync was amazing and pretty clean too. The theme was like a mix between 1984 and Player Piano, two of my favorite dystopic novels.
Burroughs sound was great and I can't wait until I get to see the full effect.
Hart's riser setup was really innovative even for them, and so was the choreography.
I'm not feeling the "Twilight" theme for Chula Vista but the performance was great.
I didn't see Carlsbad and I was depressed about that.
What are your opinions about Los Al, everyone?

i saw sound fx and you guys were fantastic. clean, emotional and fun. You were really great nashville better watch out for cali :D

What a great way to kick off the competition season! Great job to everybody who performed! I'm so pumped for the next few months!

I thought you guys were very entertaing and lance from in sync came into sound vibes home room and was chatting w our host saying how you guys were good. So I guess that means very good things for you guys . Also I noticed you had a good number of guys but not that many girls? which puzzled me. Or am I wrong? At hart we have the problem of no guys joining choir.

btw Hart i love your Rama Lama Bang Bang Opener so much.
Wasn't that song on so you think you can dance with those zombie dancers. I can't wait to see sound vibes. Their opener sounds exciting!

I'm sure he wouldn't have made you sing if you were the only serrano person there. But you guys still did great! =D

It was sad to not see any Dwight Jordan choreography at a show choir event.
Different strokes for different folks...

... Burbank's set was really good...they did The Killers and also a fun pun on "i wanna **** you like an animal" changing it to "i wanna fix you like an animal" that i thought was entertaining... not sure everyone in the audience got it though. Burroughs had a good set too.. but these were all teaser shows.

... one thing i do have to say is that both burbank and burroughs Vocally sound really really good. I'm sure over time they'll be able to clean up the choreography which was all over the place. Speaking of april james, jesus christ she's everywhere. i was kind of hoping to walk away from this having seen a new style of show choir (this was my first dose of california show choir) but ALAS its the same damn diamond formations that all the midwest choirs i'm familiar with use.

there are tons of choreographers out there. Just because you put April James' name on your choir doesn't mean automatic national recognition. MIX IT UP! (This is not to say that April James isn't the best, because she clearly is amazing) and it was sad to not see any Dwight Jordan choreography at a show choir event.

i'm excited to actually see these shows at the next real competition!
