Wow.... I just saw my first predictions... And they DESPERATELY need to be changed:

GC: Sioux City East
1RU: Iowa City West
2RU: Lincoln Southwest
3RU: Grand Island Northwest
4RU: Gretna
5RU: Lewis Central

BV: Iowa City West
BC: Sioux City East
BB: Lincoln Southwest

OK Here are thoughts. I LOVE most of Southwest's show. Some of the arrangements are a bit wacky in my opinion, but the opener is dynamite and the closer is solid. I really don't care for the 2nd song or the ballad, but they won't get 6th here... I originally predicted that because of the director change. But Ms. Goldsmith has done a great job.

Gretna also has a fun, solid show and I expect them to do well here.

I haven't seen IC West or Sioux City East so this is sorta going off what I have heard and notes from the past. IC West has been singing really really really well for years now, but their choreography always seems to bring them down (and that is true from what I've heard this year). I expect them to win Best Vocals hands down. If they can bring energy in their show, this competition is theirs for the taking. Band should be quite solid as well (but Adam could talk about them more than I can)

East should be prepared with a normal excelling Weaver show. If they are clean I expect them to have the vocals to win. The composition of the choreography should be the best at this competition, so it's up to cleanliness and the strength of the vocals to determine the winner.

Yeah looking back at it I probably should've put them in there. I don't know if I've ever seen them live and I hadn't really looked much at what you said about them at Waukee. I went back and read that so now I feel better about their chances. I think the schools that sing the best are going to do very well with the panel of judges this year.

West In The Groove was AWESOME at Singsation. Costume change under a parachute!? holy f***!!! they better make finals this year and i see them being in the top 3.
vocals were also better than i expected but band/choir balance isn't always top and they should really think about getting a combo sometime
