I disagree. You perform your best show regardless of how you placed in the day rounds. If you have your mentality your group will cheat themselves out of opportunities. Finals is a clean slate.

I believe he was arguing from the judge's perspective. You can't argue that knowing somebody placed first in daytimes will change your perception of them in finals...

but from the performer's standpoint, I totally agree with you. <: you can make it or break it in finals!

I sat in the last row right below the judges....tell me I'm wrong but it looked like they were doing the tallying of scores right behind us. How can one concentrate on such an important thing with all the distractions and lack of proper lighting ....no wonder all the scores were incorrect. This is definately not the way to run a proper competition.

kind of a major "whoops" there... I wonder how the day would have gone with /correct/ scores?

Not sure that I blame them, as close as it is. I wonder if they had cause to suspect a discrepancy or if they're just hoping?

I've never heard of asking for a "recount" even when its close. Just kind of wondering.
