Oh come on! The bleacher's aren't what hurt your back. It's the fact that our generation has no concept of posture that hurts our backs.

I do love gyms. however there is nothing like a comfy chair in an auditorium as opposed to bleachers. ooo the back pain. lol.

Ahh show choir gym memories.
I remember when I had the flu and I still came to Benton last year (and probably gave half of Xavier the flu). I'm tough

Too bad that you won't be there to see the mass confusion. You will just get to hear about it second hand.

True. But at least I can imagine

Best news I've heard all day! Nothing screams "show choir competition" like performing in a gym and watching groups all day in it as well.

i have to agree with spencer. although the acoustics would most likely be better in the auditorium, i have too many wonderful memories with Spencer Hughes and Pat Fagan in the back right hand corner of a set of bleachers, watching show choir. i need a gym.

The auditorium is used for the younger groups on Friday and the Jazz competition on Saturday.. The gym is used for show choirs in high school. We bought Urbandale's stage and have it in the gym because it fits so many more supporters. Sorry guys.I know gyms aren't the best place to watch or perform for that matter. But that's what we've got for now.

Darn... I wish this wouldn't have gotten solved. It would've been pretty funny to see everyone have no clue where to go.

Haha. I'm sorry. They will be confused enough with all the hallways they have to go around to actually get there. Not to worry. There will be plenty to watch get lost. hah

Upon hearing that the area having curtains, I too would have assumed that the space would be an auditorium. However, the schedule that is on the Waukee Vocal Booster website has the contest taking place in the HS Gym Center.

I have a feeling its in the auditorium. A recent email answering a question for us referred to the area having curtains.

Our director said he was pretty sure it was in an auditorium...

Is it in an auditorium then, or a gym? Sorry but my only experience with this competition was back when it was held at the middle school.

Pretty sure it's in the gym. They bought Urbandale's stage that we built and used for our invitational when it was held in our gym. Now that we have our brand spanking new 1200 seat performing arts center we no longer need it.

No, it's at the high school this year. Of course the two buildings are right next to each other, so no real difference.
