Congratulations Carroll! YOur show is fantastic! I got to see it last weekend at Ben Davis and it was so cool. Costuming is interesting, but it all works and it is really cool! You guys are amazing and this is much deserved.

As for Fairfield, I don't want to be generic, but someone has to get 4th. You're right, it probably shouldn't have been them, but for all we know, they could have been hundredths of a point to third and tenths from second. I'm sure they had a fantstic show as they always do!

Best of luck and congratualtions to all the choirs this weeken!

ya....that was probably unnecessary to say, and I COMPLETELY disagree with being that rude.... but they're not all together wrong....as far as indiana is concerned there is really is no way that fort wayne can even compare to Indianapolis....In indiana the best choirs are all pretty much located in one area, except for 2 of them...

Best Indiana Choirs = Indianapolis Choirs + DeKalb & Huntington North (Both of which are probably in the top 5 and really aren't even in Ft. Wayne)...

I was at this competition surrounded by Carrol kids. The whole auditorium was silent when Fairfield was announced at 3rd Runner up. They then got by far the most applause. Everyones mouth was literally on the floor. Congrats to Carrol, they must feel great. This competition was pretty jank though.

Considering you ARE in the suburbs of Indy...I would assume he was saying that FC is one of those good groups...

I also loved Fairfield's show. The only way I can think that they could have lost to any group here is if they were looking forward to the huge contest next weekend and were not focused on competing.

As an observer of both their Prelims and Finals performance, I can easily say that this was not the case. They gave a MUCH improved show both choreographically and vocally in finals and were quite possibly the most intensely focused I've seen them be in a long time. They wanted this incredibly badly and it showed in their faces, dance moves, and vocals. It is unfortunate that their passion and vast improvement was not adequately rewarded

Wow go Carroll, Stepping it up for Fort Wayne, its like were becoming the new indy, Out with the arm-ography and in with the actuall singing and dancing with all limbs.

But I love Fairfield

Ft. Wayne the new Indy. HAHA. The best choirs in NE Indiana are not even in Ft. Wayne. Sure Bishop Luers is having a good year, and Carroll somehow won this weekend. But Huntington North and Dekalb Large Mixed groups have been the best in the are for a long time and Norwell has owned Small Mixed and Womens. Other Ft. Wayne groups are laughable. Indy has some of the best groups on the show choir circuit. Not to mention the groups in the Indy suburbs.

I also loved Fairfield's show. The only way I can think that they could have lost to any group here is if they were looking forward to the huge contest next weekend and were not focused on competing.
