That is definitely how the Edgewood kids will feel when they come to Burroughs in a few weeks. haha
Oh boy they are gonna have so mush fun watching our style here in Cali. It'll be a great experience for them. Hope they enjoy.^-^
Actually, Tri-state provided the feed of the choirs, and then in-between groups the DJ took over and provided the content you saw during set ups for the next groups (the music videos, etc.). His name was DJ Cincy (http://www.djcincy.com/).
Lol i felt like my choir was out of place. Now i know how Attache must've felt when they came to Cali.
yeah i did feel kinda out of place. haha in a a good way though
You guys absolutely floored the audience, in the best possible way of course. There was an older couple sitting in front of me that had never been to a show choir competition and didn't even know what show choir was. After you guys performed in Prelims, he turned around and said one word: Wow. That was it. He wasn't a quiet guy by any stretch of the imagination, but he was literally speechless. As was the rest of the crowd. We east-coasters aren't used to seeing something that breathtakingly theatrical. We had about 12 members out of 44 attend the competition, and we were all completely blown away by your performance. Hopefully this theatrical trend will start here on the east coast, but in the meantime, please come back next year! Hey, we might even be there this year. We won't beat you guys of course, but to compete with you guys might be even better than seeing you live. Thank you for giving two absolutely mind-blowing performances.
I just realized that the finals had a variety of states featured:
California (Burroughs)
Illinois (Eisenhower)
Indiana (CG & LC)
Mississippi (Clinton)
Ohio (Marysville)
Oh PS does anybody know the artists/songs for John Burroughs set??
The songs are listed on the choir page, but here are the artists:
Mad World - Tears For Fears
Let Me Fall - Carly Smithson
All In The Golden Afternoon - From Disney's "Alice In Wonderland"
Party All Night - Quiet Riot
Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite - The Beatles
Beautiful Child - Rufus Wainwright
City of Delusion - Muse
Run (I'm a Natural Disaster) - Gnarls Barkley
I will be posting HD clips from the competition soon.
Like Haakon said, everything you saw on the stream was straight from the production company. During the breaks, they showed the videos/pictures/graphics combo in the arena. So if you want that to be different, contact Tri-State.

I definitely enjoyed the stream. I was stoked to be able to see everyone since driving to Ohio was not on my to do list. Minus the few errors that were previously mentioned, I loved it. I wanted to ask people's opinions on the hip-hop music videos that were played in between sets. I definitely loved having the little "shout outs" from facebook there though. I think I would have rather just been looking at the empty stage or listening to whoever was talking in between sets instead of watching the music videos though. Just my personal opinion. It would have made it seem more like a real competition. Haha. Idk.

Just wanted to say that Fairfield was the best competition I've been to this year (if not my entire high school career). The venue, food, hosts, and other choirs were great. I was completely satisfied with the place we got. Congratulations to everyone who competed, our hosts, and good luck in the future.
Nice to see the stream came through well for you. Usually it's only the people having problems who end up being vocal about it, but I had a feeling it was working pretty well for most people as we had over 600 people watching at one point. That really impressed me! As far as "skipping" issues, it all comes down to your internet connection and how they deal with the specific ports being used.
This was the first time I have handled the streaming completely on my own; for those who couldn't be in Ohio and watched the stream, I'd love to hear more feedback on how it turned out in your experience. I would like to do more of this in the future.

Fairfield Choraliers- this was my favorite Fairfield show since 2008(mainly cause I missed last years show). You guys had some awesome vocals even at your home competition!! I love the ballad as well!! If someone could get me the name of it i'd love that!! The second half was my favorite part. The guys and girls numbers were so awesome and I enjoyed them even more cause I actually knew the songs. That guitarist for black magic woman was freaking awesome and the song that I really only know from Hocus Pocus for the girls number was really cool as well. The set was very well put together and made the second half that much better. I'd love to know what the title of the closer was cause that was freaking sweet!!! Just tighten up the choreo and you guys will be set for nationals!!!
The closer is Break Free by Without Tomorrow.
I love it too!

I thought the stream was awesome! It cut off for us at the end of Clinton's day show so we missed the last half of the closer but that was all, other than the lack of audio during Powerhouse's finals performance. Very professional and so so cool to be watching a show in Ohio as it's happening, while I'm sitting in Iowa.
I am hoping more and more high-profile competitions use this.
