Two things:

Second, I can't think of a single judge we have ever run into in this country that has been opposed to heart and soul. Again, I don't think any groups competing have anything to worry about in that category

Amen to that.

Two things:

First, let's not forget that many of the panels that have given John Burroughs their Grand Championships at FAME competitions over the past 9 years have been comprised of largely "midwest" judges. Unless someone can point to specific examples in the panel, I think that each and every judge working this weekend at Fairfield deserves a little more credit than they're getting from some of the posters. All one would have to do is look at the shows Stephen Todd has been designing/ choreographing/ costuming for Mitchell, or look at the production value and performer commitment in an old E. Van Cleave Laf Jeff show to know that these judges GET IT.

Burbank has come this way the past few years and been quite successful. Hart won a competition a few years ago. Burroughs, we obviously are all aware of the success they've had in recent years against groups from all over the place. It's not going to be about what region the judges are from.

Second, I can't think of a single judge we have ever run into in this country that has been opposed to heart and soul. Again, I don't think any groups competing have anything to worry about in that category

Oh my god im leaving tomorrow!!! Well win or lose Burroughs will stay Burroughs and if Midwest judges don't like the fact that we lay down our heart and soul on stage then oh well. What ever is the outcome i will still be glad to have been in such a great event with all these choirs that i have loved so long and now finally gonna see live and also to finally see Clinton! One of the reasons i was happy to get into Powerhouse is that Ive been wanting to watch Clinton live since freshman year in 08. Well see some of you guys soon in Ohio!^-^

Looking at the scoring breakdown I'm gonna say that Clinton is gonna win. Burroughs is known for their SHOW and that's only 20%. Now, you look at choreo and it's Clinton. (enough said) Now vocals I think Burroughs will take this because they have the aca pella section where they just show case that, so I think Burroughs will take that but by a slim margin. Band I don't really know haha. Clinton's show is amazing this year. Gates and Cris Crisler did an amazing job with the choreo! The vocals are definitely the best I've heard since 04! I think it's time for Clinton to be recognized as I think the best in the nation. It's all subjective though, I mean some people prolly don't even call Burroughs or Burbank shows show choir. It's more like theatre. Don't get me wrong though, it's amazing. I just think Burroughs this year is a little out there for some people.

Especially for some of the judges at this competition

the weather is finally starting to look nice. ( even if there still is a touch of snow on the ground) The stage has gone up and time to put up sound and lights later this week and the competition will finally be here. I can;t wait to finally see everyone!

Does anyone have a schedule? I'd like to know when Burroughs and Clinton are competing to see if we can get a laptop running that live stream at our competition!

I believe Kevin Butler goes out and works with John Burroughs so I'm assuming that's why.

He does, but our women's choir is going to Fairfield too, and he's judging them, so I don't know if that's why.
Anyway, he's judged us plenty of times in regional competitions here too. So basically, I don't really know. Haha.

If you donate enough, we will change the name of our school to Totino-Seiler-Grace High School.

Can't you get it from the loads of money you make from Totino Pizza?

Little known fact: for every pizza roll or party pizza purchase you make, we make approximately ZERO DOLLARS.

Better known "fact": for every pizza roll or party pizza purchase one of our students make, we make them do approximately 100 crunches, because that crap will put them OVER THE WEIGHT LIMIT WE DON'T HAVE.

Ana, can I promise to pay you when I make my millions in a few years?? I can't tell you how honored I would be to drive to MN right now and see Totino-Seiler-Grace High School.

+1 HaakonPoint.

If only we could have Burbank, Totino, and Waubonsie Valley show up. Man. What a competition that would be.

Oh yes, I wish I could attend, luckily I get to see WV the next week at Wheaton Warrenville

Is anyone going to be here observing who can text me updates throughout the day? I know it's live streaming but I'm going to be at another competition. And unless I can come up with the money for a laptop and 3G network within the next 2 days... You know what I'm saying.

So, I apologize if this has already been addressed, I just don't have the time or patience to look through all of the posts on here. But have we figured out if we'll be able to watch this competition live online??? Cuz I REALLY wanna see it but I'm stuck out here in Utah!!!!

If someone could let me know asap that would be FABULOUS!
