I can't believe this competition is so close! Can't wait to see Clark and all my fellow alumni and SCC budddies. Good luck to all that is competeing that day, I know I can't even begin to predict who is going to win and who will even make finals.

I think you're confusing John Burroughs HS with Burbank HS. Both schools are in Burbank, CA, but only Burbank's director was taught by LC's director when she taught at Decatur Central. And John Burroughs was not at the Central Sound Classic last year, Burbank was.

you are correct. my fellow is often confused.

I was at Fairfield in 2007 and it was the best contest I have every seen. I would have to say this year looks like it will top that! I really wish I could make it.

My prediction....

GC- Clinton (Vocals and Choreo)
1RU- John Burroughs
2RU- Piqua
3RU- Center Grove
4RU- Eisenhower
5RU-Lawrence Central

I would really love to see Colerain make their way up into the top 6, I feel that they could claim that 6RU spot even above Marysville. Colerain has a really solid "standard" show, nothing super fancy, just solid, strong singing and dancing. Anyway it turns out, I think its going to be an awesome learning experience for all the students and hopefully entartaining for all of us spectators ;)

I just realized that 5 of the 6 choirs I placed in the top 6, I have never seen live. Isn't youtube amazing!?

So I'm assuming since we have people coming from ALL over the country, It will be a very tight squeeze in the auditorium.
it will be standing room only, but definitely not a tight squeeze in their arena... seats 2500 easily, i'd guess.

JB absolutely amazing and their director was taught by LC's director so instant love there lol they sing well (the 2010 vid was sorta screamy to me)

...but i feel JB may pull it out. I heard their finals performance at Central SOund classic was EPIC in 2009

predicitons for finalists ( i feel like i did one before lol) No specific order

JB- shoie in for finals and maybe best vocals
Clinton-another shoe in daces well and is clean
CG- dances so well sings beautifully may be hard pressed for visual
LC- best band maybe best visual
Marysville- hmm idk im not a fan of what i have seen but who knows...
piqua/colerain/eisenhower

LC and CG have been preety consistent in placings since 2008 they have been close and last year LC won over CG

JB absolutely amazing (the 2010 vid was sorta screamy to me)

CLinton i have been a fan since my first exposure to them wen they attended Central Sound Classic in 1999 they were awesome and LC did they same ballad in 2004 as clinton did in 1999 both were AWESOME! they dance well and are very clean
CG: dihard cg fan since 2005 and loved evolution of dance in 2001 you guys have amazing dance technique and sing beautifully
LC: my heart my loves, you guys have worked hard to be so good vocally this yhear is one of the best yet and i know its going to get better and you guys are so clean just have fun with the show and perform the h out of it

as for the other groups i dont know much about them but from what i've read on here and seen on youtube yhou guys are good and thats why i put the toss up.

Good luck to every one (p.s. my order was not of who will wen or what place other than the captions i feel that LC, CG, and Clinton are all pretty clean and dance well and have awsome visuals so does JB but its mostly costume and for effect idk I just feel those other three could get visual now vocally it will be cg, jb, clinton and LC def but i feel JB may pull it out.

I absolutely hate the weather. Seriously! The forecast keeps changing. I need to make it from Charleston, WV to Fairfield. Thank God the forecast for Fairfield on Friday is looking sunny with a 0% chance of snow, but who knows if that'll stand come next week. Does the Ohio department of highways do a good job keeping the main highways cleared off?

In response to MusicWarehouse, I think style varies group to group, but it's hard to pin down a style to a particular region or state. I personally feel there is a wide variety of show choir in Ohio! Findlay, Fairfield, Piqua, Twinsburg, Beavercreek, etc...all so incredibly different, but doing great things. I would assume there is a wide variety of styles in other states as well. Each weekend, the judges have the daunting task of trying to compare these apples, oranges, and bananas as fairly as they can. I am excited to see such a wide variety of groups that I don't see every day, and I look forward to being inspired!

I honestly don't mind how the results pan out... this is simply going to be an awesome competition, and a great learning experience for everyone.

That's my two cents.

Good attitude man. Seriously, props.
