Your old style was tired and I'm glad to see you pushing the envelope and taking a new direction! With such talent i'm curious to see what Brendan Jennings could do with a group like you.

whoaaaa that was a little harsh.
i thought burbank's "old" style had a lot of class (not that their "new" style doesnt.)
this seemed like a blatant burn on mr carroll, who id consider a pretty consistently amazing director...

anyway! i had a blast at this competition, i dont think ive ever had so much fun on stage. hart's stage injects intensity into every choir, i think.
congrats to burbank, i finally got to see your set. you guys and your opener, i swear it gives me chills every time.

Last night was the first time I saw Powerhouse's set live, and I must say, OH MY GOD!!! You guys are AMAZING!!! Congrats on the win

Congrats to everyone on their excellent performances. It seemed liked everyone stepped it up a ton from Los Al, and it was awesome to watch. Great job to all for being able to perform super well despite the late time. Thanks Hart for such an AMAZING, and well-spirited, competition. It was an experience I'll never forget

What an amazing competition! I want to congratulate Burroughs Powerhouse on their amazing victory over some fierce competition! I think we all can finally rest assure, the west coast will be properly represented by their new Show Choir champions : John Burroughs Powerhouse! The magic is back! I haven't seen such an invigorating performance in years. They've been known for fantastic shows for as long as I can remember but this year just feels like the year of Powerhouse. Step aside Burbank, Clinton, North Central, and any other challenger that dare face them. John Burroughs Powerhouse is the new top dog of the show choir world! Also, great job Burbank In Sync! Your show is refreshing and new, something I haven't seen from you in years! Your old style was tired and I'm glad to see you pushing the envelope and taking a new direction! With such talent i'm curious to see what Brendan Jennings could do with a group like you.

congratulations to all the groups that placed!
it was ridiculous performing that late at night :p

i like how so many things went wrong though
burbanks toss in their closer went wrong
burroughs scepter thingy broke in the beginning
our soloist tripped in the closer
and thats all i can remember haha

but overall great night and competition :>

Advanced Mix Division

1st - Burroughs
2nd - Burbank
3rd - Los Alamitos
4th - Chula
5th - Carlsbad

I dont remember any caption awards, but congrats to all the groups, especially Carlsbad and Powerhouse. Powerhouse was insanely entertaining and inspiring. They are just great and their presence is huge. Also, congrats to Carlsbad on placing! They are definitely my favorite group.

This competition was ridiculously long. Chula didnt go on stage until 12:45 am and buses didnt start leaving until 1:45. It was a long day.

Also, it was a really close competition...

Impressions was ahead of SS by 7 points in music and SS was ahead of Impressions by 5 points in show....

Just 2 points difference!

I was wondering which of the other groups placed during the Men's, Intermediate Women's, and Intermediate Mixed division.

i would post them but my memory is being mean to me right now and i dont want to post incorrect results

I do remember
Mens:
1st. Los Al
2nd. Burroughs
3rd. Burbank

for intermediate mixed
1st was burbank
2nd was burroughs

Best Costumes: burbank sapphires

Thanks Hart for a wonderful competition! I know it's not completely over yet, but the divisions that I was there for have been over for a while now. Everyone did great today. and I can't wait to see the results of the advanced divisions.

and a special congrats to the men of Los Al! OMG you guys were AMAZING. and if you heard a sudden gasp at the start of the John Williams Tribute, yea that was me. I've been wondering how long it would take before I saw that in a show choir set and how awesome it would be. and it really was awesome. =>
