Thanks for all the congrats you guys! We're not really used to the smaller competitions so we really enjoyed ourselves because it's a lot less hectic and it's more relaxed and the hosts are so much better! And congrats to Picayune ya'll were great!

I only know there was no finals so Mrs. Carter decided to give a GC and a C award out to the groups with the highest scores.

Grand Champion: Northeast Jones "Gold Horizons"
Champion: Picayune "Tidal Rave"

Congradulations to both groups. I truely enjoyed watching you guys. I enjoyed Picayune a lot better this time than any other time this year.

I understand that this year was only the second year Hattiesburg has held a competition, but I had a few problems with the competition yesterday. Last years competiton was much more enjoyable.
The sound was my main issue. Most groups have blocking built around the standard 5 stationary mics and 2 solo mics. This competition only had 4 wired mics and no center mic. We (and I'm assuming the other choirs also) had to re-block and adapt our show on the spot to accodomate.
I also wonder if some Northeast Jones parents had not stepped-up and bascially taken over, if the compeitition would have even gone on. I thank those parents for helping the day get started and run quickly.
I'm extremely proud of my group, Northeast, and Picayune for placing well, but yesterday was just an long, long, long day.


You are absolutely right.
The sound wasn't what I would expect at all, we had to do a lot to work around it.
All in all, i enjoyed myself.;)

Congrats!!! to everyone that attended "Hub City Invitationals". You all did very well, and im looking forward to seeing you all next year.
