I love how it says "Menchville Monarch Magic"...real name-(m)pulse.

We did used to be Monarch Magic, but our brilliant choreographer suggested we search for a new name. He felt that "Monarch Magic" didn't really exude a "serious"-ness, and I think he wanted people to have a different first impression of us, since your name really is the first impression people have of you. We went through several suggestions that didn't seem to fit us any better, and then one day in rehearsal, one of our tenors suggested "musical "m"pulse". When he was saying it to me, he said to use quotation marks, clear as day, but I was really tired, and when I wrote what he was saying on the board, I wrote (m)pulse instead of "m"pulse...and we just liked the way the parentheses looked better. It was a total accident. We ran it by our choreographer, and he suggested shortening it to just (m)pulse, without the word "musical". We really like it. We changed more thn just our name for this season and can't wait to see if it all works out for us.

And speaking of the schedule, it looks like we'll need to change times and go earlier because of a conflict with another activity, so I'll post the change when we confirm.

Sorry for the thread jacking.

That would be supercool! I saw a concert of theirs at U.VA last year that was very good. Of course, I'd rather be watching show choir, but the Hullabaloo's are a worthwhile distraction IMHO.

Can't wait!

The Hullabahoo's are an all-male a capella group from U. Va. Last year they performed at the Chamber day of the competition.
