That is the crummy part about going last...you don't get to see the other shows in your category!!! At least at Manchester, they sometime replay shows during the judge's breaks, so we get to catch them that way. Even if we do arrive early, I CANNOT sit and watch other shows...I have to warm up, clean, review...SOMETHING. I can't relax until we're DONE. But I'm wound pretty tight like that.

Good luck to EVERYONE this weekend. I know how hard you all have worked, and I wish every show choir the best.

Hey, where the heck is Blake??? Is he doing showmanship this weekend?

I'll be coming from Lynchburg Saturday... Sadly I can leave untill 1pm So I should get there about 2:30... I want to know how much it is to get in and for a program and anything else you think I should know to be ready for an amazing time...

All that should def be under $15, they might not even charge for admission... ive never been to powhatan though

You are definitely right, The Mixed AAA division is going to be fierce! I have a feeling Cosby, Hanover, Lee-Davis, Manchester, and Thomas Dale are going to all be very close.

I have high hopes for Cosby. Their show is very strong, but also very edgy. I hope the judges appreciate their show, because it really is awesome!

Again, good luck to all of the groups! Wish I could be there to watch!

Jeez...no pressure not to tank.

The Mixed AAA division is going to be fierce! I have no idea about Mixed AA, since we're last I won't get to see the other two...we just do our best and hope for a great result!

I think Amherst girls take thier division- thier growth over the past few years has been inspiring to watch and everyone should take notes. They are going to start reaping the rewards! With Patrick Henry following and 'young newcomer' Douglas Freeman rounding it out.

The Manchester girls will be looking to taking this one and come back for the 'Hanover Happenings' last year. Thier strong all around and classy-very cute show this year!
Cosby and Thomas Dale will do well and I think all three top choirs will be very close.
I heard Cosby's girls were in first place after thier performance at Poca- ahead of some early morning mixed groups.

Just as the Amherst girls will do, I also believe the same is true for Menchville and the most talked about show choir name on the East Coast! hahahaa (m)pulse. They will have bigger and better competition in the coming weeks. Watch and take notes. Good Luck Menchville!

Saturday Evening should play out interestingly for an early VA competition and provide some insight to the rest of the year. Lots of competitions this year, larger competitiors from farther away and lots of traveling will do the area some good this year and Powhatan/ James River Show Choir Classic is the warm-up for the season.

Lee Davis sings well. Lee Davis sings well. Lee Davis sings well. The judges will like it.
Manchester will entertain everyone with a large Andy Haines show- you all should enjoy this one VA!!
Hanover, Cosby, Thomas Dale and even Amherst will all still have kinks to work out.
Atlee is in the same boat and will be already thinking about thier Fairfield comp. in Ohio. Congratualtions and Good Luck! Its a wonderful comp- you will enjoy it!
I went top 6 as if there were finals but think depending on Menchvilles changes- they could take a place there as well.

Have Fun- Sing, Dance and Entertain!!!

Oh, yes...we did change our name...and a few other things, too. Very anxious to see if it all pans out! Still just one show choir for Menchville...now (m)pulse instead of Monarch Magic.

Good luck again to EVERYONE...teachers, students, choreographers, bands, stage crews, arrangers, volunteers...just, everyone!

Who is excited? This is the first competition of the season for some of us, and I seriously cant wait to see everyone else's show! Good luck to all the show choirs competing. No matter what the outcome is, there is no doubt EVERYONE puts in a lot of work on their show and totally deserves recognition.

I'm really starting to get nervous already. But I'm a dork like that.

Well that stinks, all the Hanover Co. groups next to each other... Hopefully Lee Davis will make it in to see Hanover.
