How do you guys think all the choirs did at ABQ Showfest?
I think that the choirs in Albuquerque did great! The Albuquerque show choir "scene" has the potential to be huge. There are quite a few choirs within the city that have the ability and talent to be quite amazing. There is always room to grow and to improve within every program, with that in mind, show fest can be used as a stepping stone. I really think we as a community need to work together to make Albuquerque better than ever. We can make showfest a high quality competition (which it already is) however, we need to hire Midwest judges, invite show choirs from other states and raise the standard of show choir in New Mexico. Whew....that took awhile
You know I've been remiss- all of the credit for the new Main Street needs to go to Kaitlin, Clara, Lindsay and of course Mrs. Terry. You've done the work- you deserve the credit. Good luck on Friday.
La Cueva's new teacher is not only building back up Mainstreet and Fifth ave again, but also building a choir program at Del Norte. So, to say that she isn't incredible for doing all the work she is doing is a crime. She has worked so hard that her health is in jeopardy, and she has sacrafised so much. An amazing teacher doesn't have anything to do with how well you personally get along with them, but how much work they put into the choir. I have to agree that there are some things that I don't agree with but I wouldn't go far enough to say she isn't AMAZING
La Cueva's new teacher is definitely doing a great job! it's been a really really hard rebuilding year for them, but they're definitely picking up speed. she's doing the best she can in this crazy new environment, she's a first year teacher, but she's very very educated and crazy talented. get ready for a whole new mainstreet
