Well, as mentioned above, i suppose anything can happen... but Viking Cup has always been accomodating to outside groups in the past (Davenport West, Lacrosse Central, both past GC winners) and so i'm thinking Xavier has a good shot at GC. i'm fine with that- as long as i get to see them in finals, but I have a bad feeling that i won't have the chance. Regardless of whether or not we're in the top three or not, it's still gonna rock

Xavier's enrollment is about 750 total for grades 9-12

Ok that helps out. I want to say i've heard the cut off is right around 1000 students. I can't say for sure though.

I'm working on finding out the exact specifications, but how big is Xavier?

How many students do the AA groups have? Just curious because, like Greg, I'm wondering what the enrollment cutoff is for those schools.

First off, it's Grand Island going, not GISH. GISH is "Islander Prestige" (isn't it?)

Most people refer to Grand Island Senior High as GISH and Grand Island Northwest as GINW in order to differentiate between the two without typing it all out. And as someone else said, GISH for the past 2 years has been Islander Prestige, but this year changed their name back to their traditional name of Ultimate Image.

As an aside this will be my first time personally where Xavier is not entered into the largest classification.

I believe this is the first time since 2005 where Xhilaration hasn't been in the "large group" category at a competition. What's weird is that for 2006-2008, we were eligible to compete at the 3A level in Iowa (what I'm assuming is the equivalent to "A" in Nebraska), but we voluntarily chose to compete at 4A. This year, though, we're an actual 4A school in Iowa, so we don't have the choice anymore... but it's the first time in four years we're not in the largest class somewhere

I also think that Nevada will be in the top 3. Possibly even 2nd.

Xavier sweep is all I'm gonna say.

GISH is grand island, or Grand Island Senior High. last year they were Islander Prestige, but their new director switched their name back to Ultimate Image.

I love how everyone is checking out their chances against Xavier.

This competition is in the bag for them, I believe.

I distinctly remember a similar quote from you about Supernova, Adam... Allow me to get the exact wording...

The only prediction I can make after yesterday is... Johnston and Xavier will be in finals.

Moral of the story... please don't jinx us again!

I think he's asking about school size cutoffs and such rather than what choirs are in what class. Oh then I definitely wont know that. Sorry lol. Good luck to everyone though like Costume Mom said. Anyone can win on any given day. So we'll be ready.
