Jorge... I know we have had our differences, and i do apologize for being such a pratt, but it doesn't make any sense... Come on you're the detective.

I just wonder if NC was penalized for the content/radical aspects of their show.

Scott. Today I attended Davenport West and Central's "Great River" competition. I have no clue what happened at Ben Davis, besides the results and that North Central had one forth place rank during day round. I have no other information and no opinion on the matter since the only show I have seen is Dekalb and Franklin Central Sorry I can't be of more help. Scores will come out with time.

-edit-
Forgot FC.

? is it impossible to believe that maybe choirs actually did better than north central? 1) you didnt see finals so you dont know who stepped up and who didnt in finals. 2) NC went last in finals so they had every chance to bring it and win.

Pike had an Awesome show!!! i'm sorry if it seems i'm belittling their win! I am really just asking for answers, i didn't see finals, and i want to know what happened so differently... I'd also like to know what the standings were for prelims.

thats all i said

Actually since ben davis has their stuff miced a possible problem was that they had miced the bass and other things that should not have and miscontrolled them.

It seems like a very good possibility. There was an issue like that at this Competition in 2005

CG, HN, and FC were 1 2 and 3 there, and i know atleast 2 of the groups reported having problems with the sound/mics.

Alright, So the first thing I would like to mention... Is that as you saw in my post above, i didn't have HN in my top 5 either. I wanted them to win this one so bad and I really think that if they had been given a run at finals they could have pulled together like Huntington North, and been top 3 here.

I think Huntington North has everything that they had last year. They have a great show, they have the Huntington North sound that we all know so well, and the choreography is fitting. I think what hurt HN today was their combo. I don't know why, but the entire show, the horns (which are usually so well balanced) were covering the choir immensely. I also noticed that during the entire show the bass guitar was pretty much muffling any sound from the men. There were moments when it was very clear that HN had what it took, but i think the sloppiness of the choreography, and the band covering their vocals just murdered them.
