Hey now! I may be a Highland alum but definitly think you shouldn't count out Highland in finals. In the past three years they have beaten very prestigious groups such as ...Twinsburg ('07), Dekalb ('06, '08), Hunting North ('08), Ben Davis ('08), Zionsville ('07), and other groups. They also were three points away from defeating Fairfield last year. This year they have a new director and choreographer (Brent Holland was replaced). Although they may be small this year, I definitly think they have what it takes to make finals.

Like someone said in the Dekalb topic, it's really an any given Saturday type a deal for the last finals spots. Since there's still a few weeks, I'll hold out on any predictions... but I have a feeling it'll be a close one.
I am not really looking forward to performing at 7:30. It is going to be so-o-o-o-o early. In fact, because of how far away we are, we will have to be at our school at 3:30 in the morning. Oh well, early bus rides always make for interesting ones. My marching band has to be at the school about that time every year if we make it to state.
I am really excited for this competition! There are so many good groups that are going to be there. Being new to the world of show choir I cannot make the most accurate predictions, but based on my limited knowlege they would go as follows:

2RU-Teays Valley
3RU-Ben Davis
4RU-Homestead
5RU-Northridge
Others that could make it are:

Carroll
Northrop
Pike
After seeing Homestead at our classique they are a completly different group, it reall brings out a lot of energy and there moves are so crisp and i am just overwhelmed about them. I hope they do really well all year
I think you have to put Ben Davis in finals... Last year at the state competition they got 4RU... Higher than every Indiana group competing here (except Carmel of course). Homestead was not invited to state, if i remember correctly. And Carroll was pretty low too weren't they (i want to say 10-12?)
But Franklin Central didn't place in the top 6 after a successful year and performance. They should have so you really can't go by that.
