RESULTS:

Grand Champion: John Burroughs "Powerhouse" (best vocals / best choreography)
Second Place: Clinton "Attaché"
Third Place: Burbank "In Sync"
Fourth Place: Chula Vista "Main Attraction"
Fifth Place: Brea Olinda "Masquerade"

Congrats Burroughs! I am cheering all the way in Italy!

The finals of this competition were so intense, i was watching and when burbank performed i was like damn they got better, then when powerhouse performed i was just like whoah never seen it like this b4, and then ofcourse the amazing clinton ^^ only part i didn't like was getting the tech plaque, lol.

Congratulations Los Al and Mr. Moellenkamp on a terrific competition. Hopefully more choirs like Clinton will make Extravaganza a destination during the competition season. It's been a longtime since i've seen a roster of finalists as solid and deserving as Saturday night's, any which could be - and have been! - champions anywhere else in the country. Bravo all.

our projector wasn't working on friday and we didn't announce that
so sorry about that guys. but like i said, it WILL be on youtube sometime this week.




Ahhh. Ok. that stinks that the projector wasn't working, but that probably wasn't your fault either. Well then please keep us posted on when it gets put up => I can't wait to see it. => thanks!

Well, I can only imagine how fierce this competition was!! I wish I could have been there!! But anyway...I hope everybody got home safely (and hope Clinton had a safe 14 hour ride home ;)) and I wish everyone good luck for the rest of yalls season!! ;)

Attaché, thank you so much for coming out here to compete. To me you guys represent everything show choir is about. True professionals.

Anyone know the scores? I would love to see the point difference between 1st and 3rd

Point difference between Burroughs and Attaché was 25 in Final, and was 21 with Burroughs in the lead and Attaché in second.

..though one question, why is it that they didn't show the video that was previously mentioned at the intermediate competitions? I remember the videos that were made being shown the last two years and loved them. And I couldn't wait to see the video this year. I got sad when I found out they weren't showing it.......now to wait for the youtube version....

just wanted to say THANKS SOOOO MUCH to all the groups who competed this weekend for being so awesome! i got to watch all of you from backstage(in between announcing you) and one word: INTENSE. you made the straight 48 hours of work totally worth it haha congrats to everyone, and special congrats to powerhouse! great job you guys totally deserve it

attache - our choir is seriously in love with you! especially meagan and the edward cullen guy. hahaha fantastic job and have fun at disneyland with melissa and all of them!

and i wish i could have seen burbank :< im sure it was amazing, though.

CHULA! CHULA! CHULA! CHULA! hahaha im so freaking proud of you guys and wish that i could have seen you too :< have fun at the bonfire with attache today! <3

i saw brea's set for the first time today and i think i was literally smiling the entire time. it was so crazy awesome. :D

and congrats to everyone else! this competition was SO fierce.

p.s. - burroughs loved the video... haha "so, um, shh... okay"

I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to Los Al for hosting such a great competition; to Attache for being such amazing performers, people, and competitors >; to all of the other choirs that competed & kept things interesting & exciting for everyone; to our amazing tech krew who basically give up their lives to make sure everything is working properly and for all the back-breaking work they do behind the scenes; and a HUGE thank you to all of the choreographers, directors, parents, and consulants that make SoCal show choir so freaking AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
