The junior high division looks a little thin... I'm surprised with the strong field of HS's that there aren't more JH's looking to attend...

Any updates?

So is New Edition still in existence?

And yeah, Brian Paulsen is great. He has done arrangements for my choir before. And I've seen Edgewood Mini Warehouse, and they rock.

New Edition still exists. Out of a school of 800 kids, Edgewood still puts out three show choirs. New Edition is still a freshman/sophomore beginners show choir that helps them prepare for their junior and senior years in Music Warehouse. Sophisticated Ladies then has a mix of freshman through seniors.

If you get to the DeKalb Invitational, ask for the Invitational Chairman (that's me) and will make sure that you get in free and three of your friends. Any one willing to drive that far to see a good show deserves to get in for free.

Thanks Tim

Oh wow! That sounds way better than going to a school dance! Although I will have to

A. Find three people willing to travel all that way with me
B. Get permission from my parents
C. By some miracle, I get asked to our dance, have to decide between the two

EDIT: I just realized that I say "oh wow!" a lot.

wow! this looks like a stacked competition. And i would have to agree with Rian about not counting out medina... they had a very good showing at Ada "Music Feast" two weekends ago, so look for them to come on strong.

I will be interested to see how Edgewood does this year. Verda Slinkard finally has a full group, freshman through seniors, that were started in choir by their junior high director Brian Paulsen. It has been very apparent that the past directors before Paulsen had no discipline and now that they listen to Verda and want to succeed, there will be interest buzzing around the town of Ellettsville. I hope they make finals here. It would be a huge boost for the program.
