You assume incorrectly. Marysville has been successful in recent years, but the group's only been competitive outside of the state of Ohio for the past four years or so. Time will tell which programs can consistently remain at the top of the pile, but neither Marysville or Garfield Heights has history on their side at this point.
And an opinion is all it is. I would consider them a powerhouse especially after their finish at Findlay, and the small amount of points between Garfield Heights and Marysville who i would also consider a major Ohio powerhouse as I am sure u do.
Garfield Heights is not a powerhouse. In my opinion, a group has to have some history behind them before claiming such a title. I'd say the only Ohio choirs that qualify are Findlay, Twinsburg and Fairfield, and possibly Beavercreek and Teays Valley if one overlooks recent years.

I know that Garfield Heights is going to be there, and I think they are going to be the lone "OHIO POWERHOUSE" there, and with their finish at Findlay, and almost beating Marysville (will not release point spread), they are only getting better!!! I'm excited to see them and know that this competition usually sets up well for Garfield Heights.... Good Luck Guys!!!
Would you really say GH is a powerhouse?!? They are a great show choir but they really haven't dominated the Ohio field.
