In finals, Clinton was by far the best group. Twinsburg was too in your face, but they were still great. Albertville and Petal both sounded good, but their choreo was not on the same level as Clinton or Twinsburg. Enterprise was good for a first competition. Anybody who thinks Clinton didnt deserve to win is wrong. Choreo was perfect and sound in finals was not matched. They defiantely deserved to win.

I really wish I could have gone to this competition. It seems that this was the one to be at. grrrr. I can't wait to see Clinton's opener on youtube!!!I am listening to the original song and it is awesome!! Last year I was the only in my choir that liked Attache's show!! I sure I will love this year's also!! I also can't wait to see all the other final groups shows plus pascagoula and homewood. Congrats to everyone at this competition!!!

As an un biased party i placed Twinsburg as the grand champions, clinton in second and albertville in third. No offense to the people that thought albertville should have beaten Clinton, i have to disagree. Maybe next year.

- to be completely honest i think the only aspect that got twinsburg in second was because one of their backdrops didn't turn for the entire half of the second show but the scores were really close maybe if they would have fixed that somehow they definitely would have won.

clinton had an amazing show this year they deserved to win GC and if i hear correctly this was in fact their first competition?

Glad to hear someone liked them! For 2 years now it seems that all I've heard is that Clinton isn't up to par

Ok... Here are my thoughts:

In prelims, I had:

Twinsburg 1st
Albertville 2nd
Clinton 3rd
Homewood 4th
Petal 5th

Twinsburg was one of the best groups I've ever seen live (Only Clinton 2006 and Mt. Zion 2007 are better that I saw I live IMO)

I hated Albertville's show at South Jones, but it was phenomenal in prelims... Outstanding vocals, and I loved the opener, closer, and ballad... I thought they were better than Clinton overall... The ballad soloist was remarkable, and everyone on stage for them was a great performer...

Clinton: Stand in the Rain was very good, but really the only song in the show I liked... Of course they were super clean like Clinton always is... And I thought the vocals were as good as they've been in a couple of years, but not quite as good as Twinsburg and Albertville... I really disliked the show... Cool backdrops, though...

I was shocked that Homewood wasn't in Finals... I thought they were much better than at South Jones... They kept the energy up the whole show...

Petal was very strong, as usual... Some of the choreography was sloppy though... They were great, but they've been better this year IMO...

No offense to anyone from Enterprise, but I'm confused as to how they made Finals over Homewood and Pascagoula... 72 people is a huge number, but they didn't have the mind-blowing volume they usually have... Perhaps they were trying not to over-sing and contain the sound, but if so, it was probably too contained... I wasn't crazy about the show either... I'm not saying they were awful, because they were good... However, I expected more...

West Jones Sassy: I agree, it isn't fair to win 3 of 4 captions and not place... But I'm putting an end to the Jared Voss blame game right now... He had them in 2nd... There, it's over... But they did do a very good job...

Once again, Opelika proved to me why it is my favorite competition... I had a great time...

I really thought clinton deserved 4th twinsburg deserved first by far petal third albertville secound and homewood last

Heard from some people in the crowd that Twinsburg actually looked better than Clinton.. I had Twinsburg in first by a good bit in prelims... And I actually had Albertville in second and Clinton in third to be honest with you... I'll post more in the morning because its 2 AM and I'm typing on a blackberry on the bus...
