ps. I have a Happiness jacket, cuz I was actually in the group.

love ya. jk

haha... That would be better... but I received my jacket from Happiness friends in 2004, and I am ok with that. God can not have us all live in Cedar Rapids.

wait... maybe you shouldn't wear your happiness jacket.... ....

If anything... the bad luck was in me not being in the States. I also wore my Happiness coat at Great River the past two years when they have won... so, that can't be the reason.

Thanks Chris! We always love going to Mo-Show. Such a fun atmosphere! I mean, where else can you go where the host director wears rollerblades all day?? Thanks to everyone at Wash for a great competition!

You were standing infront of me in line to get in the gym, i didn't realize it till later that it was you.

And sorry for not really writing a whole lot!

I LOVED the ballad and I really liked your opening dresses this year. I think last year was a bit more solid, but i've seen you guys the past 5 years and i just can't believe how much of a change the group has gone thru. Representing WI very well. And its great to see the Janesville and Milton kids come with their best at Mo Show, makes it a huge treat for us

Milton- I've heard Derrick rant about how much he loves the show so i only came in with high expectations and best Milton i've seen and great vocals! Like i said in the day you were the most solid to me (not having seen Linn Mar)

Kennedy- I enjoy the show but it was lacking that umpf i've seen from you before. Maybe you are just pumped for Nationals? Still a great show and my brother, who doesn't watch show choir, was with me and couldn't stop laughing during the novelty and turned to me at the end and says "I know they are Kennedy and i should hate them, but they were good." A huge crowd pleaser!

My thoughts of finals:

Cedar Rapids Kennedy "Protege"- I love those opening dresses. Chad gave you some very difficult staging, and at some points in the opener the pictures just weren't clear. Also, there was not much sound in that gym, and the band did sometimes cover you. However, I loved your song selection and costumes and choreo. I had you in 6th.

Center Point-Urbana- Sloppy choreo and staging. Really bouncy. Pretty good vocals though. Fun show. I had you in 7th

Janesville Craig- I LOVE those first dresses, and they look good onstage. I loved the energy in the choreography. My guess is the vocals just weren't as strong as the top 3. It was a tough night in the gym vocally.

Milton- This is the most mature sounding Choralation I have ever heard. A really talented group of kids. Everyone loves the closer. Some people didn't like the closer costumes though. I wasn't a big fan of the costuming. Very clean and very good blocking. You must have had some very high choreo scores. I had you in 3rd.

Linn-Mar- I don't get the opener and ballad. But Mr Pinstripe Suit, and after the ballad i LOVED. It was all so energetic, and the band was ROCKIN! And the opener dresses are stunning.

Danville- Loved the novelty. Good vocals. Stronger than some others in finals. I had you in 5th

Kennedy- I wanted you to win. And I think you should've. It just didn't have the magic it did at Great River.

I wanted Kennedy to win and thought they should've, but Linn-Mar's show was very judge-pleasing in a good way! I was not at all surprised to see Tenth Street win and congrats to everyone! Very fun night!

hmmm interesting day. i am not surprised by the results having sat with the judges in finals. i personally wouldve had happiness winning but honestly linn-mars show was just more fun and that is why they won. also because happiness had tuning problems in the ballad. another fun moshow though!

I didn't stay for finals nor saw Linn Mar (i had to eave at 5) but Kennedy, to me, was sloppy during the day. not what i was looking for.

Milton was outstanding! They were the best group i saw.

GREAT effort Kennedy and Milton!! Very proud of both groups and the years you're having. Linn-Mar is a fantastic group, and I have no doubt it was hard fought and close. Milton, get fired up for Altoona, and Kennedy, you've got some fun "business" ahead of you in Nashville in a few days! Congrats also to Protege and Rising Stars for strong showings! God Bless, Damon
