After some brief informal communicating with thee Bob Anderson this morning, (via text message), Supernova will continue, and go on, completely as scheduled and planned

The walking tacos, DQ blizzards and freshly made hot chocolate will all be awaiting those who don't freeze on their way in today. (AKA We are good to go!). And saturday was never a prob (sorry for the scare).
Thank goodness!!
I was kind of scared there for a second

Honestly I don't quite understand all the problems with not being able to go to school. I mean, I've still had to go to class and I have to walk to my classes... It's freakin cold, but it really shouldn't be enough to cancel Supernova. (omg its tonight!)
edit- although I do understand that the schools would be in charge of the students welfare and if a bus broke down frostbite could occur in minutes... yadda yadda yadda.

CR Kennedy announcing that Linn Mar will run as scheduled. Mr Sands brought that up as a recurring theme during the concert this evening. I truly hope it does go on as planned though, this showdown will be epic.
I thought for sure all along that Saturday was not in issue? But the only questions were about the prep competition on Friday night?

Ah you caught me! I've been playing you all off this whole time, Central is going to attend this competition, along with Monona Grove and Beavercreek. We will use our rocket that we are "borrowing" from NASA to get to each competition " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
Exactly. Central will win this competition, Mt. Zion, and Monona. 1st Runner Up at Beavercreek though.

Taylor is trying to tell us that Central is ready to go! ;)

We too are out of school tomorrow. The good news is that all remaining finals were cancelled for us (ok well that is good news for me). The other good news is that we are, at this point, still running as scheduled. The bad news is the final decision will be made tomorrow morning. But from what Anderson said when I talked to him tonight, I think there is a great chance that things will run as planned.
lol p.s. Jessica Mallow is pissed y'all have been off all week!! haha
hopefully the "middle of the pack group" will be my Warriors!!!

I have a feeling that some choir that is usually middle of the pack in Iowa, is gonna jump out of no where and snag a spot in finals. Not sure who, but I have a feeling that it's going to happen

when he retired after the 2006-2007 school year, he took up the clause that said retired teachers can teach in private schools (the same thing Ms. White did after she left Johnston and went to Dowling) and went to Xavier.

It'll be funny if that affects this competition... Kennedy is having a show choir preview concert in an hour that isn't cancelled. On a day where there was no school and there's no school tomorrow. But hey I'm not complaining, can't wait for it
Cedar Rapids likes to chicken out with school when it comes to the weather, I am really doubting (or maybe just hoping) it has an effect on the competition.
well Washington and Kennedy both have not competed yet, and they have curricular show choirs, which obviously haven't been meeting the past few days... so that could effect the competition.
Also interesting... Mike Cervantes is a former Washington show choir director and drama teacher, and he now teaches drama at Xavier...
