Just watch the video, and keep watching until the very end.

CR Xavier Pillars of Death

And then after

I remember thinking that the pillars fell down on purpose because the song was 'Raise the Roof'...but then I saw the reaction of the band after that happened.

By the way, are there any groups canceling for tomorrow due to weather?

That year, and incident, proved to me how fantastic the Xavier show choir machine is. I've never seen such professionalism from a group with that major of an incident.

what happened?

I was in 8th grade with older siblings in xhil that year, and at first when that happened i was like whooaaaa thats tigght. because coincidentally it matched up with the music. But then it nailed Last in the head. That was the point that i realized it wasnt supposed to happen....

To this day Last is convinced that he personally saved my sister's life (the keyboardist) by yelling at her to get out of the way as a large white column nearly smashed her in the head

Ha... I bought the Xavier day show separately just so I could put it up on YouTube.

Do any Davenportians have a weather report for this weekend? Our weather guys in CR have no idea what's going on anymore.

FRIDAY: Increasing clouds. High 30. Wind W to S 5-10 mph.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Moderate to heavy snow likely. 2"-6" across the viewing area with the heaviest to the NE. Low 16. Wind SE to N 5-15 mph.

SATURDAY: Cloudy and windy with snow ending by noon. Blowing and drifting snow through the afternoon. High 21. Wind NW 15-30 mph.

not exactly promising but the last time we were supposed to have 4"-8" it turned into hardly an inch

And Adam, I believe that the entire Cedar Rapids Metro Area likes/is liked by the city of Davenport, with the exception of the "mishap" with CR Xavier in 2007...that still haunts my dreams.

I think Happiness will like the city of Davenport after this competition.

Davenport loves "Happiness, Inc."...

They are constant finalists at BOTH competitions (had I the archives right now, I could copy and past Kennedy's "Great River" History, but if I remember right:

GREAT RIVER-
1999- Grand Champions
2000- 2nd Runner Up
2001- 1st Runner Up
2002- Grand Champions
2003- Grand Champions
2004- 2nd Runner Up
2005- 3rd Runner Up
2006- NO GREAT RIVER
2007- Grand Champions
2008- Grand Champions
2009- ? ? ?

The best "Happiness, Inc." shows are always performed at "GREAT RIVER". The same goes for Cedar Rapids Washington, right Jay Burken? I don't know why... it isn't on purpose... I really think it has to do with the awesome venue... the magic of the Adler Theatre is mysterious; but is fantastic to CR schools.

While I am gushing about Kennedy, I saw someone added these awesome videos of "Happiness, Inc." to YouTube from 1982!

"One"
"Boy From NYC"
"With You"

I love me some Happiness.

I have kennedy cleaning house as well. Without Urbandale or Ankeny there I think Kennedy finally gets a GC.

Kennedy won Davenport North's competition over La Crosse Central, CR Jefferson, and Davenport Central

I think Happiness will like the city of Davenport after this competition.
