After seeing all of the competing groups, I must say I wouldn't count Burroughs women out of finals. I was very impressed with their show today. I also think North Central may finish better than some people have predicted.

We're still running quite behind, largely because of the logistics of the building. The warm-up room is on the second floor only accessible by elevator and the theatre is on the 7th floor. FFE is about to perform.

Findlay University just won the Division II Men's Basketball Championship in an overtime thriller.

I wonder if First Edition can bring another National Championship back to Findlay today.

Did something happen with this? Will there be a Bluray DVD available?

It's rather complicated, but the really short answer is that no, it's not happening. I'm more dissapointed about it than anyone, so I assure you it wasn't because of a lack of effort on this end. Oh well, maybe a different competition next year.

My daughter is in Sound Sensations (Burroughs) competing at FAME. I couldn't afford to go so I put together my own YouTube version of FAME NY to watch at home tomorrow and cheer them on.

I thought I'd post it here if anyone else who can't be there in person is interested. Some of the videos are not the current year's set, however, I included them if I couldn't find a current year, just to get an idea of the choir's style.

Enjoy!

Currently sitting in the theater right now was Greece Athena performs.
I thought John Burroughs was amazing. I can only imagine how the time change
And the fact that everyone else does prelims is effecting them. I was blown away
By the vocals and the creativity of choreography.

But it will be interesting to see how things turn out since we have FFE, Counterpoints and Wheaton still to go

Be back later with updates

Apparently the competition is already running a half an hour late

I just got a message saying Powerhouse is on right now and it is the middle of their set. 10:23 west coast time......1:23 New York time.

Hate to be that guy, but I can't stand seeing it incorrectly.

Back in the day, if we were up on stage and the announcer said it wrong, we would all hiss "sssss" under our breath.

Don't wana stray off topic, but as you've mentioned Shrek I feel like I should throw in that Josh Prince (the choreographer) was a North Central Counterpoint.

So who has Findlay beaten this year? Who have they lost to?

I've seen Wheaton Warrenville and North Central this year, and unfortunately I must say that NC has the better show. Though if the judges are conservative WW might beat them. I've seen Burbank as well, and if Burroughs is truly better than they are, then I'd say that Burroughs will probably win.
