burroughs is definitely getting their 3rd consecutive fame GC! and the also cup this time! i'm 110% sure of this!
I am not convinced that they are a "shoe in" for the grand championship. Granted, they are MY pick for the GC and if I had to choose I would pick them; but I will not be surprised to see Burroughs in 2nd or even 3rd place with the calibur of competition at FAME NYC this year.
I still feel Onalaska 2004 beats all... but that is just me.
Onalaska had a great lineup, but didn't represent a good cross section of the community on a national level at all. I think even FAME Chicago last year was more exciting with Waubonsie, Clinton, North Central, and Burroughs. This year will be a real treat as well... and I'm really excited to see groups I didn't get to see at Wheaton. Believe it or not, I haven't even seen Chula's set this year! For some reason they just haven't been to any of the Cali comps I've attended.
i really wish i could be there.... would anyone be willing to text me results? i will be without my laptop this weekend, and i dont think i could wait untill monday...
i am getting SOOOOOOOOO friggin excited for this one!! FAME NEW YORK this year is arguably one of the best and deepest line ups in quite some time for us show choir fanatics. This is truly the blood bath of the decade to date!!!!

I am sooooo pumped to attend this competition. I won't even post predictions due to the fact that I have NO CLUE what will be the outcome.

we'll be bussing it over night thursday at 8pm... hmmph.
haha, for real though, i'm so excited for this! this year i'm going to make sure i actually see some choirs - at fame chicago i got to see a grand total of one choir! hopefully this year will be different! good luck to everyone!
I of course will be rooting for Findlay to bring it back to Ohio , but Wheaton, Burroughs, and North Central are some of my all time faves, so I'm really excited to watch this one!
My guess is FAME tries to keep as many groups as possible happy by getting to perform twice and say "we made finals at FAME NYC 2009!" which, is no easy task even if there is only 8-9 groups! HA
I think all of us here would have a problem if there were only 4 in finals- considering all of the groups are finals worthy. Top 4 isn't enough for me
