After seeing Findlay several times this season it's somewhat hilarious to see them being predicted any lower than third place. Granted, everyone is more than entitled to their own opinion, and granted, Findlay's classic show design is not for all tastes, but the group has a history of cranking it up for New York and I don't think this season will be any exception. Actually, this is my favorite Findlay show that I have seen live, and I think the group has a great chance of winning the whole thing.

At this point, my best guess as to the outcome is what will be listed below:

GC - Findlay
1RU - John Burroughs
2RU - Wheaton-Warrenville South
3RU - North Central
4RU - Greece Athena
5RU - Chula Vista

Vocals - Findlay
Choreo - John Burroughs/Findlay
Band - Findlay/Wheaton-Warrenville South

It feels strange placing North Central fourth, since they are such a favorite and always produce something intensely interesting, but I've found I like their shows during even numbered years more than odd numbered years. Somewhat silly reasoning, but I do think the group is better every other year. Wheaton-Warrenville South has the potential to be a dark horse, but I think their show will appear safe in comparison to other, more stylized choirs.

also, i thought i heard that waubonsie valley was going... was that just a rumor?

As far as I know that's just a rumor, I have heard nothing about Waubonsie Valley going to FAME New York. Unless a representative of the school says otherwise... I'd love them to throw their hat in :D

I am not as familiar with a few of these groups but from what I've seen thru YouTub i'd have to say this

GC: John Burroughs/WW
1st RU: WW/John Burroughs
2nd RU: North Central
3rd RU: Findley
4th RU: Greece Athena
5th RU: Chula Vista

But there is so much time for groups to perfect their shows, so i'm sure i'll change this up to the competition.
This would be a stellar competition to go to, but New York is just a bit far for me to travel. I can't wait to see what John Burroughs pumps out this year, i was a huge fan of last year

Sounds like a great idea to me.

I'm sorry if you feel that my keeping this topic in line gives off the impression that I'm "almighty." I reserve the right to keep discussions clean and productive where I see fit. There are ways to be critical of performances without resulting to name-calling or simply talking trash.

Thank you to those who are working to keep this discussion on topic.

no problem we do what we can!lol So I predict Powerhouse first place anyone else wanna chime in?

I am a dancer thanks, doesn't mean im gonna choreograph a show choir ... walking around with electric candles before singing Phantom of tha Opera and an awful rendition of one night only or doing a horrible patriotic medley.

Well Sparky, instead of being a little prick, why don't you explain yourself like we all have?

Considering Burbank hasn't performed all of their songs in public yet and Burroughs hasn't even been to a competition this year, I think it's pretty interesting that you believe "many many" people have any kind of opinion about either groups' show.

Also, just a reminder to everyone that this is the FAME NYC '09 topic; please keep this in mind when posting. Thanks!

Well Burbank isnt going to be at FAME NYC, but since you want a response out of me about them all mighty Haakon... I have seen the videos of the majority of their show. It doesn't take a genius to see the awesome visuals/arm styling usually seen in the majority of Jen's numbers used in Burbank's show. Burbank's choreographers (Damon/April...?) choreographed the numbers perfectly.

Can we please be done trying to make this positive comment sound so negative? Thanks! And yet again like I've said very single post, GO FAME NYC!
