Considering Burbank hasn't performed all of their songs in public yet and Burroughs hasn't even been to a competition this year, I think it's pretty interesting that you believe "many many" people have any kind of opinion about either groups' show.

Also, just a reminder to everyone that this is the FAME NYC '09 topic; please keep this in mind when posting. Thanks!

Well Burbank isnt going to be at FAME NYC, but since you want a response out of me about them all mighty Haakon... I have seen the videos of the majority of their show. It doesn't take a genius to see the awesome visuals/arm styling usually seen in the majority of Jen's numbers used in Burbank's show. Burbank's choreographers (Damon/April...?) choreographed the numbers perfectly.

Can we please be done trying to make this positive comment sound so negative? Thanks! And yet again like I've said very single post, GO FAME NYC!

Lol, I was talking about Burbank 2009's show, I think it's EXTREMELY similiar and something I'd expect to see some from Burroughs. Just mine and many many others opinion. Break a leg at FAME NYC EVERYONE!

Oh and I don't think it's a bad thing. I think Burbank looks and sounds AMAZING!

haha okay. thank you for clarifying.

Are you talking about Burbank's set for 2009 or 2008?
Well, actually, either way, neither one of those sets is similar to what we do. Burbank does things their way, and we do things our way.

Where exactly did you go to school and for what? Fill us in your heiness.

I get what you're saying, but this isn't your high school musical or a dance recital, It's competitive show choir. Looking at Burbank this year I thought I was watching Burroughs... I guess Burroughs having their own style is also diminishing...

Oh and FYI, I've seen groups WAY before 1995, but show choir has evolved. They did like 3 numbers, fully teased hair, tamborines, extremely basic tap, boxes, no risers, and very simple arrangements. What exactly was your point with that comment? Stop speakin out of your... yea.

Spain Park definitely DOES NOT break the mold, however, when I was in the group I was neither the director nor the choreographer and therefore had very little (ie:NOTHING!) to do with show design, song selection, costuming, etc....

I don't profess that my group is above the comment I make here, quite the contrary, I simply am voicing an educated opinion based on what I've seen and been taught since leaving high school. For those of you to close to the screen to see the big picture, I understand, I was once right there with you. "You're show choir is the best, your show choir is SO unique and different, your show choir doesn't look or dance like any other group out there." Your show choir has an "original" idea with a "new" prop or gimmick we haven't seen. Honestly? Not likely. As many of my professors have said. "We are limited mostly by the scope of our instrument" - In other words for 90%+ of you on here, your knowledge of show choir ranges from (at BEST) 1995 to the present. There is a bigger picture at play here, and there are only a hand full on here who get that (and no it's not Jorge or RyGuy or fill in the blank)

Lots of us get the history but your presenting your side of the argument in a way that is really offending people like Me and trey who happen to be from a very "traditional" choir! Please just tone down your "oppinions" we are not slamming your southern "show choirs" so don't insult ares please. We can all just get along
