First off, I have to say, what a PHENOMENAL way to end my senior year. I'm going to miss everything so much, and I can't believe a whole chapter of my life is now over. I will miss all of you, even the great performers I admired from afar and never actually met.
All of you better come to Pop Show so I can properly meet you for the first time!
Secondly, I have LOVED Powerhouse's set all year. Most of us have. On any given day you could walk into our choir room and hear one or more of us singing or humming one of your songs. What a fabulous year it has been, and I feel so lucky to have seen you guys all year!
Which brings me to... what happened after.
Yeah, I'm pretty embarrassed, and I feel the need to apologize too, whether you feel bad or not. Because I know I would feel terrible. I'm pretty sure I did when you guys beat us. But I think a few of us went a little too far.
As for Tigger, that was just us being crazy choir kids. We really didn't mean for it to offend you. That was part of a... well, ritual that we did before our first competition. I still think it was a pretty cool thing, and all in good fun.
Congratulations to ALL the choirs for a wonderful season!
Seniors '08!

PS; Hart: you guys were pretty much my heroes this year . Not just for Power Rangers, but everything. Best set I've ever seen from you guys, in my three years.
And Los Al had what must be my favorite acapella EVER. I don't know what the name is, but it was AMAZING. And I love The Who. Awesome closer.
EDIT: And I totally forgot to mention how much I ADOREEEE Chula. I love you guys. So so sooo much. Thank you to Chula and Mr. A for ending the season with a bang!
i think this was the only comp. i stayed inside almost the whole time
Mt. Eden- you guys were Awesome last night..!
Los AL- one of my all time favorites!
Chula- as always amazing
Hart-loved it
Burroughs- truly the greatest show on earth!
Bonita Vista- loved the lion king song
Carlsbad- Awesome!!
Burbank-loved the bow!!
Props to Haakon! that was well said. (p.s. that banner was made by supporting parents, not students)
I know I'm ready to forget about what happened after the awards ceremony. Thank you to Emma Register for an incredibly classy apology on our bus. Many of us really appreciated it. I'm so proud of us, Powerhouse! We did incredibly and I can't believe I have to say goodbye yet again to a third senior class I've grown so close to.
ERIC!!!!!!!!! hugging you after finals was like the most emotional moment of the night for me, i don't even know why. you're amazing, and i can't believe how much i'm going to miss all of you. thank you for being the irreplacable, fantastic people that you are, i could not love all of you any more.

easy answer. because powerhouse was upset so they apologized. why else? a lot of people here are being judgmental and its bugging me.
oh....and...most of us looked at anything that happened after awards as... unimportant, so really, no body cared, we wouldn't have expected any more, and the few that apologized were in tears and far far more upset than any one on our bus...so...i think you're a little off base...but anyway
thank you chula vista and mr.a for all your hard work and organization, loved the solo by the way mr. a ;)
Last night EVERYONE was spot on.I was so happy cause it was the first time I got to watch Harts Power Rangers song.SO SICK!It was really fun hanging with the powerhouse people too.GO CALI!
This has been an amazing year for our group and all of the west coast. I am very sad that most of Hart had to leave early and couldn't experience Chula's tribute or the awards ceremony. I am going to miss all the great sets that this competition season has brought, and I will definitely miss doing Power Rangers. RIP PINK POWER RANGER. So thank you Chula for a great competition, and all the other choirs for making this season one for the history books.

Especially to Impressions, you were such a great group of very fun and talented girls 'ladies' and I wouldn't have wanted to host anyone else but Impressions. You all made it so much fun and so worth it to be there from 7am to 3am. I'm glad I got to meet alot of you, and hopefully we'll see each other again at Pop Show! :> I love you all!
I do have to say, I can understand some of the frustration that some members are feeling in the sense that I think a "Powerhouse Rocks!" banner is a different way of showing pride than carrying around a disembodied tiger on a stick or putting images of a tiger cutting itself in your forum signatures. I'm not one for censorship, so I haven't said anything about it, but - from my perspective - I feel like one is much more about pride in one's own group and the other is a pretty thinly-veiled slap in the face of your rival. I have nothing against displaying pride in your accomplishments, but I do see a difference here. Just my two cents.
As far as SoCal is concerned, I have to agree with Mr. A... this year brought together some of the most amazing show choir performances I have ever seen, and the record that California groups set in 2008 was really about as good as it could get. You all have so much to celebrate. Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard this year and made it one for the history books!

i completely agree and i heard that some of the Burbank leaders apologized? So if i didn't mean anything... why did some people from the Burbank choir go over to PH and apologize???
hm.... controversy much???
Congrats to everyone on a fabulous season.
The tigger was not in any way meant to insult any member of anyother choir... We all have our symbols of ... i guess pride (I.E. The powerhouse banner saying Powerhouse Rocks brought to Los al and hart) and this just happens to be ours...

Hey- all of those teams were amazing yesterday. The two burbank teams were even more than amazing. Take this tigger lesson and move on. You tied!!!! in reality. The city of Burbank has 2 of the best show choirs ever right there. Take this time to be happy. You're amazing!!!!!!
i didnt see it either, but everyone on our bus was talking about it, and some people from burbank came on to our bus in tears to apologize...
yeah... what a way to end the year...
In response to the recent critisisms of burbank....The tigger was not in any way meant to insult any member of anyother choir... We all have our symbols of ... i guess pride (I.E. The powerhouse banner saying Powerhouse Rocks brought to Los al and hart) and this just happens to be ours..... In response to the cheering yes many of us were excited and im sorry your busses were right next to ours.... we didnt in any way mean to "rub it in" as one had stated earlier.. We at BHS have nothing but the utmost respect for the program across the way... We, along with the rest of the nation are not blind to the stunning performances that JBHS showhoirs put on each and every time they touch the stage... The emotion that flows from each and every member is an amount no other choir can touch. Our two programs at our schools i think our so lucky in the fact that the rivalry between us gives both of us so much to work for and it drives us all to truly be the best performers we can be... Unofrtunately it also sometimes drives friends and families apart (I.E. the stevens bros?)
Once again we really intended no harm on anyone and we all were just very excited to be able to say that on that given day, we were able to place higher than what many consider the strongest show choir around........ Sorry again and look foward to our football game which keaton will be explaining to powerhouse soon im sure
Happy passover all
