I find it funny how anytime someone calls Burbank Vs Burroughs a rivalry they're very quick to tell you how friendly it is and how much admiration the two groups have for one another but, You always end up hearing about or seeing a story like this take place.

I must say though If they came on your bus in tears to apologize they obviously felt bad about it. Did you really have to put them on blast on here?

firstly, i wasnt putting them on blast, someone asked what happened and i said what happened.
secondly, the people who were in tears and felt bad about it and apologized werent the ones that did it. it wasnt the entire burbank choir, i said it was some people... unfortunately, the actions of some affect how the whole is viewed

Uck! I can't believe Burbank won. In my estimation Powerhouse was bomb ass (btw- I went to Burbank and was in In Sync for FOUR years, so .....) I hated Burbank's set. What the hell was that first song? The accapella was totally random. The country medley thing was .... haha. for like 5 seconds. Disco medley!? When I was in choir we all made fun of people who did that crap, and thankful that we ...... never would have to. Sorry, does creativity count for nothing any more? I was pretty bored seeing Damon Brown's choreography on EVERY other choir too. I don't know, that just makes no sense to me. Yes, Burbank sounded awesome and looked great but ..... it was a no go for me They just look like a big well oiled machine. Machines have no heart. If what that other person said about them parading around, being arrogant about their win is true, that is extremely shameful for me as an alumni, and quite honestly, first place with no class is last place.

Our rivalry really is friendly and motivating for the most part. Just because certain members of a choir act a certain way doesn't mean the whole choir shares that point of view.

At least that's been my experience with people in Burbank's choirs.

^^ I didn't even know they did that.
I think I was too sleepy to realize anything.

i didnt see it either, but everyone on our bus was talking about it, and some people from burbank came on to our bus in tears to apologize...
yeah... what a way to end the year...

people from burbank paraded around like a cult carrying around a stuffed tigger with its head ripped off on a stick. apparently supposed to represent our circus theme, or something like that.

basically they were rubbing it in our faces that they won by ZERO points.

at least some (ones who didnt even do it) apologized.

I went to the V & S sight to see how to order a dvd- there's nothing there to explain. Anyone know what we need to do to order one?

A lot of choirs tend to add a song or remove a song or change choreography in certain numbers. I would say its not so much about keeping it fresh as much as it is about tweaking your show to make it better. Thats one of the many things I love about this comp. You really get to see a groups finalized set and its usually performed at the highest level of the season.

That's great reasoning! I'll have to share that with those who don't want more competitions around here. Thank you!

lol I was getting a little delusional by the time Chula was performing, and especially when awards were being announced. I can't believe I stayed up until 2:45 in the morning just for that " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Amen.

I got into bed afterward and I was like.. Did i really just do that?

Hahah.

Just a question- Hart seemed to change a bit of their show. Is this how you (SoCal) keep it fresh through so many competitions through the year? Just wondering.
