Haakon, were you falling asleep during the ballad- the camera was going a little nutty.

Haha, I'm not operating this one... I only do HD.

In seriousness, though, V&S Video is working hard to make the streaming possible. I'm just getting it out to the masses!

I got yelled at by the bus driver for tearing off the bus (the choir moms said it was ok) to see Powerhouse... But It was SO worth it, I absolutely love their set, it is amazing

You guys def lived up to your reputation you got at FAME Chicago! So energized. So crisp. So.. AMAZING.

eek Burroughs did not get their reputation at FAME Chicago, they solidified their reputation there. They have been great for a long time, and highly recognized as one of the best choral programs in the nation.

3rd Song (ballad)
The first major creshendo is what stuck out the most.

I'm being a hypocrite I know... lol- but it's crescendo

John burroughssss!

1st Song
I loved this opener. I dont remember much now, haha. But i wrote down good diction and amazing execution of choreography.

2nd Song
A couple times, on the word Trapezee (sp?).. they didnt end together. Nothing huge, but it bothered me.
One section in there, when they had two rows on the ground.. great layers and ripples. it looked amazing.
And the ending, the diagnal leading to the couple in the top corner -- super cute

3rd Song

Awesome dynamics, great diction.. but there was this one person.. toward the right side.. who was swaying .. badly,.. and i just kept looking at them..

4th Song
First off.. it cut me off right as the ballad ended.. and I SCREAMED. hahahaha. but i got it back on.
I loved the background dancers/(circus performers) during the first solist.. haha. def made it more of a show.
When the whole group was on, there was a part where it was a little messy. but nothing serious.

5th Song
Another group where i had great diction in almost every song
Amazing Soloist
In a few parts, it was a bit messy choreography.

6th Song
There was a part where the staging was off a bit. It was supposed to look somthing like /.\ but the first line was more slanted and yeah.
The choreography, again, was very crisp and amazing.

You guys def lived up to your reputation you got at FAME Chicago! So energized. So crisp. So.. AMAZING.

I could hear a lot of different things that Burroughs has improved on vocally since Chicago. Props to them. I really feel that their final show here was 110% energized and they certainly left their hearts and souls on that stage... something that none of the other show choirs have done fully, in my opinion. So, yes... I agree that Burbank has their work cut out for them.

But, I will say my one criticism that I have said before. I feel that the closer isn't powerful enough. The show loses a bit of steam right at the finish. It isn't the performers fault... it seems to be more song / arrangement oriented. I don't know what it is, but I have never been pleased with it (Mr. Scott Dove even agreed with me at Chicago... right Scotty!?). The first half of the song is cool... but then it just kind of fizzles for me.

No matter what... amazing job Powerhouse!

Sound Waves bus got back to Burroughs, so I raced across Burbank to pick up my daughter. We missed getting to see the pink Power Ranger, but made it back in time for Powerhouse's acapella. I am so glad...it was worth the crazy driving.

The other Sound Waves girls should be home soon to watch as well.

Oh Hart. I dont think i've ever used the word 'great' so much

1st Song (Saturday Night)
Great Soloists. I loved how you let random people pop up and sing parts.. making levels makes alot of different in show choir. It adds so much to the choreography like you wouldnt believe.
Other than that, i wrote Great Choreography and Great Singers for that song.

2nd Song (river dont run)
I loved the first soloist. Simply amazing. Great vocals, and great DICTION. This group must have cracked diction in practice. The only bad thing about this song i had was the ending choreography was a bit boring compared to the rest of the song.

3rd Song (ballad)
The first major creshendo is what stuck out the most. I have the speakers up prettty loud.. and i must tell you.. i got goosebumps like you wouldnt believe. over a comptuer. that takes alot. Great dynamics in this song. They were amazing.
In one part in the song the low basses have their moment to shine and they come out.. they pushed it a little. The very last word.. Soul.. sounded like Sou... you were all probably lookin for a good cut off to end this amazing piece.
AMAZING A CAPELLA SOUND.

4th Song
It was pretty dark, and the guys are wearing dark suits.. so all we could see was their hands.. and it looked amazing. There were a few parts where the arms were a little messy, nothing major.

5th Song (Tarzan)
The lack of lights made it so we couldnt see what was going on at first.
AMAZING diction. I loved the ending.

6th Song (Power Rangers)
The beginning small group had a couple people who were a little messy.. nothing big.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. The pink ranger.. omg i almost died laughing.
I have the word 'amazing' written and underlined.

Hart - I've seen you on youtube. I've read about your 'upset' of Clinton. I saw your prelim preformance and this performance. You did wayyy better in finals. You were amazing.

That was a great show. I haven't seen a group that energized in a while now; they knocked their closer dead!
