yeah. the character voices can be a little annoying.
but idk. i just always have such high expectations for
manchester. i have it embeded in my mind that they're
still amazing as they were my senior year. but oh well.

dale and cosby do have amazing vocals.
stanny and ms. glynn are quite amazing.

yeah, quite obvious. i don't think it was possible for them
to partner up. there were only like 20 guys and 5 billion girls.
lol. idk. carlos is still my boy. but it troubles me with that show.

Personally, I think it is fitting that Manchester won but didn't get best vocals. They had the showmanship and choreography down pat, but I just can't stand the character voice that they always use. It just seems like a facade to cover up a lack of mature sound.

But they do know how to transport an audience to another place.

I was oping that either Dale or Cosby got vocals, so that was nice.

It was very apparent that WC had two choirs smashed together. Especially since they never danced partnered up. I don't know if this is a one-time thing or if it is how it is going to be form now on...idk...

i wasn't "surprised" with manchester winning.
i mean, they're manchester. but they were good.
cosby deserves to place at every comp. they're
always amazing and never disappoint.

but i was surprised with WC getting 2nd.
they were average. and carlos is my boy,
i just thought a few other groups were better.
i thought dale had a very good chance at placing.
but yet again, i was wrong i suppose. oh well.

Agreed...I got this email once explaining that people don't read the middle of each word. To demonstrate this, every word in the email had an error in the middle of the word, but you could still understand the whole email.

Personally, I have a name that gets mispronounced all the time...so I'm used to it.

I wanted to meet you...but I wasn't sure what you looked like or where you were!!!

Thank you so much for your kind words. Jasmine will be thrilled to know you enjoyed her performance.

Also, thanks for noticing we are "Menchville" and not Mechanicsville". We seem to be getting that a lot lately. lol

Hanover High School is in "Mechanicsville" so that might be why people were confused. since the Hampton Roads area is relatively unknown in the east, people from other parts of Central Va might have misread the name.

I don't know how many of you were there at 10am on Saturday, but the soloist during "One Night Only" from Menchville was seriously one of the best solos I have ever seen at a competition.

Totally appreciate all the support from other directors. Well now the hard journey to enter A division next year and start finding a way to compete with the amazing talent and experience in those schools.

To my own students, I have wonderful kids. I am so proud of all of you.

To Jamie Barrack, wow. Great work this weekend! Thanks for all you and your parents did... it was first class.

See some of you at Hampton!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay...typing from my phone. Here's my opinion so far:

Amherst: first time seeing ur show this year. Great vocals!!

Cosby: can't believe that ur even better than last week. Loved the improvements on africa.

Dale: I have so seriously waited all week to hear ur ballad again. It was well worth the wait.

Im really enjoying all the shows!!!!!!

I thought that pretty much all of the girls' groups had about the exact same tone quality, so the scores are probably pretty close together. The results from this competition are also all over the place.

Cosby had just about the cleanest on-stage costume change that I've ever seen. It was very nice, and their choreo was clean.

I'm really interested in Winston Churchill since the program says that it is both of the former WCHS show choirs put together, and that it has 50 people. Not so sure how that's going to look on those 12 show choir risers...
