He Crew20 in the south most of the groups are using 4 wide 3 deep and if a group wants the 4 deep setup then it is added for that group. In many cases here in the south the stages aren't that deep so the 3 deep setup give more room for the band and backdrops. I heard that there were going to be 4 deep at this comp. but not the riser height (some are 10" instead of 8") I needed to know this to adjust backdrop height to the correct level.
i don't understand. carmel is the defending state champs and they perform at 8:50 in the morning??? that's probably the earliest i've ever seen a group of their caliber perform. why so early?
lol could it be revenge from north central after they lost to carmel last year? " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
I am still trying to get some questions answered for this competition. I have been told that four sets of risers will be used, so are they 4 - 8" or 4 - 10" risers? I need to know if the height at the back of the risers will be 32" or 40"? Who are the judges?
a normal riser set up is 8" 16" 24" 32" 4 wide, 4 deep. thats how it should be.
I think because of performance times we could see FC in First place going into finals, But i think either Carmel will be Exhausted and have a difficult time on stage, or they COULD step it up huge and Get the GC:
How much do you think performance times effect the results? i'd think it would make a big difference.

you really don't think that Franklin Central will make finals?
My predictions are
GC: Carmel
1RU: Franklin Central
2RU: Lawrence Central
it's a crapshoot beyond that - lawrence north, zionsville, pike, and ben davis all are consistent finalists.
Well I have a sidenote comment, just so that everyone's clear. Pike had to drop out of North Central and switch to Anderson. I'm not really sure about all of the details except that it had something to do with the performance venue for the women's show choirs that didn't work out with the set for our girls group.

wait.....one of the pike kids commented and said they were going to anderson and thats the same day as this comp....but then pike is on the list on the counterpoints website.
im confused!
(i mean, im going to this comp regardless cuz i love north central's comps, but im just trying to figure this out)
Yes that helps, thanks very much. The other thing I need to know is do we in fact know that there will be four levels of risers and they will remain on stage for all groups?

We've recently ordered some new risers, and I think they'll be here before MIC. I'm pretty sure they're going to be 8" like our old ones.
The only judges I can name off the top of my head: Gabriel Crouch, vocals(one of the original King's Singers); LeAnn Haggard, visuals(Dance teacher at NC, Nat'l Dance Teacher of the Year); Rick Granlund, band judge(Performing Arts Dept. Head and band director @ NC).
