HEY not to be mean to anyone....BUT I think we should all get over it. If celebration is going to glendora then their going to glendora. I don't see y every one had to make such a big deal out of it..I mean come on lets cry about it y don't we....any ways show choir is about fun and hanging out and showing off your show. Its not about gettin mad at people for stupid reasons.....

yea ok i really dont want to start anything with anyone, just cuz its dumb and i dont need someone from another school giving me crap.. and im sure thats how everyone feels... but how many comps does Rowland and Celebration have? not including Glendora. Because for my group, if we dont include Glendora, we only have 2. And so it just sucks for us cuz we want to win too and when advanced groups come in to our comps i feel like why bother even trying cuz i know that we wont get first. And Msk8rmatt i get what you are saying.. i mean everyone wants more comps.. and i dont think that anyone blames the kids in your group for being there... we just feel like we are being taken advantage of thats all. and i really dont want anyone coming back on here and giving me attitude its just thats how alot of people feel. and another thing that made me mad, was that someone from celebration was talking to me and they said that "this comp doesnt even matter to us.. its mainly to get our new people used to comps" and when you hear someone say that it kinda pisses you off cuz this comp does matter to me and the rest of my group.. so really i just wanted to say that. and im not trying to start more drama than there already is.. its just how i feel. thanks. bye
sweetie i totally understand what your saying....I'm really sorry and now that all this has been sais I really wish that Celebration wasent competing there...I would be happy woith just performing....its just frustrating to hear people say that it akes them mad and stuff because us in the group cant do anything about it...and i know your just expressing your opinion...but i dont want to get on anyones bad sad just because of 1 competition.

I am just giving my own opinion here and i don't want anyone harassing me but i don't like gong to competetions and loseing i like to win and all that stuff about performing and meeting new people is good and all but i am only truely satisfied when our group wins. Again this is only my opinion and i'm not saying everyone is wrong but thats what i think.
Yes, Celebration is still competing in advanced...were competing at glendora because we were invited to....And if your going to say thats its not fair for an advanced group to compete in an intermediate group...maybe you should think about the other intermediate groups form other schools (burroughs, Diamondbar) who are mostly made up of their advanced groups...so it seems fair to me either way.

I was implying that both gropus have a good number of advanced people in their intermediate groups. And as far as i knew this was all over so why are you bringing it up again?
If what I was told is right the reason Celebration and Rowland are going is because at one time this was an advanced comp but groups like Burroughs pulled out and spots had to be filled with other groups. I'm sorry if it looks like we're going down a division just so we can win, that is not it at all. Much like Celebration Rowland is not going to a lot of comps this year so we are taking anything we can get just to be on stage and perform if it was up to me I would say hey we don't want to compete but we still want to go and perform and the comp. I'm sorry to everyone who thought we're doing it to win. I wish all the groups good luck.

eh. i really can't figure out this competition because just yesterday our director asked us if we wanted to attend glendora because the glendora director invited us. everyone approved with their schedules and i guess we're going now? i don't know what's up with this competition.
I just finished reading this whole thing. and jessica you are right about what your said, but it still isn't fair. I saw celebration last night and they were great and they get better every year and it is blatently obvious that they are an ADVANCED group and should go to adavanced comp. I understand how they were only invited to 3 but still it is no excuse. Plus last year celebration agian competed in intermediate at burroughs and then at the hart comp last year you guys recieved 4th place which is pretty good. But nothing can be changed about this and i know that the group can't fo anything about it so yeah
I think everything everyone is saying is 100% valid, because everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think that we're all forgetting what show choir is about. It should be about the fun of performing, bonding with your group, meeting new freinds, and a million other things like that. I think we all tend to get a little crazy when we know how hard we've tried and believe we're beign treated unfairly. So please can we all just be nice to each other and realize that it's not all about winning?
