Now that I'm rested, I'm going to do a quick critique of all the finals groups I saw yesterday:
Jefferson Jive: Very Good. Great stage presence. Choreo was sharp and fun to watch. "Heartbreaker" was AWESOME. Congratulations.
Totino-Grace Encore: Beautifully done. Even with the scoring mix-up you were poised and vocally astounding. Excellent. Opener was fun and current which is always cool.
Neenah: Quite the show for you guys! Opening costumes were beautiful, girls.
"Soul with a Capital S" was a lot of fun and I could tell the audience liked you guys! Only big thing: Guys should have a stage face too, not just the girls.
Hastings: Without sounding too snippy about it, I think you should have placed higher. The ballad was fantastic, choreo was sharp, Strutter/Strut was very cool. Guys sound: Very mature. Diction: great. The only thing about your show was flow: The flow from BOXING-to-HSM: didn't translate as well. But that hardly brings your show down as far as you fell from my placing. Thanks for being awesome and NOT BREAKING THE NINTENDO!
BJeff: Opener: MY WORD. Dirty Boogie was CLEAN. Wow. GREAT JOB. The only issue in this number was a point wher the girls turned around and sang "hey you all". I remember it was too young-sounding. Second song: Male soloist was my pick for the best of the day. Guys number (Heart of Rock and Roll) was the best part of the show. Your guys have some of the best stage presence all day. Rush with just the girls was so-so. I would have liked a deeper vocal sound and a little more energy but the closer was pretty awesome. Keep it up and we'll see you guys for the next two weeks!

BKennedy: B-town: What a show. I heard that the critique judge gave you a lot to work with and you remembered everything she and your director said. That's quite an accomplishment. Second number was very fun. When you were loud you busted the roof off. GREAT JOB and Congrats.

Are you sure this is correct? I heard from Ana that Encore Singers and Jefferson Jive were also competing in finals. There was apparently a scoring mix-up in the prep division, and instead of giving 1st to Totino, they gave it to Jefferson. Then they corrected that, and put both groups in Finals...i'm quite confused " border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Could anyone quickly clarify this for me before results are up?
