i really believe homewood was FANTASTIC and i was shocked is an understatement when they called first runner up. sorry guys i thought yall had it... itsuper close for some groups in what spot they got. much luck to all on next competition. ours is homewood.
All I can say is wow. The only group I got to see was Pascagoula and they were really good, but it's a suprise to me they won it all.
I would suggest that you watch more than one group next time before posting comments like that. It would make your groundless opinions at least a little more credible.

My guess is that responses to this will be interesting to say the least.
Are you TRYING to start controversy? Because at the moment, it is completely unnecessary, as is your subtle, yet childish belittlement of Albertville and Homewood.
Homewood - I really enjoyed your show! Your opener was spectacular and your girls feature is rockin'! I also think that every one of your soloists are loaded with talent.
West Jones - Seeing a larger version of your group was great. Too bad there wasn't a sixth finals spot.
Northeast Jones - Great show, guys! Mike gave yall some cool choreography to your closer.
Jackson Academy - Wow! I loved your show. Great song choices and nice outfits.
Pascagoula - I hate that I didn't get to see yall, but obviously your show is top notch. Congratulations!
Hey Trey did you notice I said "everything being equal" so in your case I guess that would include the three D's. Hey I saw a group of about thirty two once out sing a group of forty six at Belmont, at least according to the judges, O did I mention that group was from Illinois and about seven of the nine judges lived in or went to school in Illinois. Someone ask who the judges were well I know three of the four, Ladonna Ferguson (PRC Choral Director) Tammy Carney (Clinton Middle School Director), and Chad Alexander. Let me shoot this down up front, NO I am not saying the judges got things wrong. I am saying that for a smaller group to out sing a much larger group something unusual has to happen or the larger group has been poorly prepared, and I don't think Albertville and Homewood fall into that category! Food for thought another way a small group can out sing a larger group is if they stop and sing or use a lot of hand motions in lue of difficult dance sequences. It's much more difficult to sing and dance at the same time than if you are not moving. My guess is that responses to this will be interesting to say the least.
I'm not picking on you for ANY reason, but heads up:
Most people associate PRC with Pearl River Central. PRCC usually denotes the Community College. I wanted to clear that up.

I'm still trying to figure out what this says about some of the larger groups with Pascagoula winning Vocals and Choreo. I know some on here will take this the wrong way but there is no way a small group should be able to out sing larger groups with everything being equal, 30 can't make as much volume as say 44, it just isn't possible.
Volume isn't necessarily what makes a great vocal sound. The judges are not just judging on the amount of sound you can produce but the quality of the sound. Things like diction, difficulty, and dynamics are also judged.
So to say that 30 can't make as much volume as 44 is probably accurate, but that doesn't mean that the vocals weren't better. Using this theory, a major league baseball park 50,000 people strong singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" has better vocals than the 3 Tenors singing "O Sole Mio".
I know in the Middle Mixed going into finals Pascagoula was 30 odd points adead of NE Jones and JA was only like 4 points behind NE J, and going into finals Pascagoula had the highest scores of the day out of Large and Middle.

Congrats to all making finals. Gautier was going until the people in band and the show band put their foot down because of wanted to try out for something. Thank god we didn't go. We still don't know our guys song(it was changed) and our closer was changed also because of arrangement problems. Our first comp is at North Forest now. I really really wanted to go to South Jones to see all the jones show choirs, goula, and homewood(COOLEST OPENER LAST YEAR EVER).
Our show is:
Just Like Paradise by David Lee Roth
Almost Paradise
Love Potion #9(probably will be cut)
Paradise by Kaci Batalga(sp)
Space Cowboy by Nsync(UGH it was either change to this or change to Larger Than Life)
Rockin The Paradise/Two Tickets to Paradise
I know we didn't do so great tonight, but here's our show for those interested:
Taking Over Me (Soloist: Natalie Harris)
Who's that Creepin'
I Know Where I've Been (Soloists: Kathleen Graham, Allyson McLaurin, Backup Singers: Alex Gieger, Kristen Russell
Rock Your Body/Slow Down Baby (Soloist: Xavier Davis)
Dance Sister Dance/Ay Ay Ay/Smoothe (Soloist: David Ishee)
I heard that Albertville did a My Chemical Romance song... That must have been awesome...
I'll go ahead and spill the beans on Homewood's show:
Opener- Lost Highway
Ballad- Lonesome Road/Different Road
Transition- American Band/Traveling Band/ She's Got a Ticket to Ride (Soloist: Byron Mosquera)
Girl's Number: Let It Ride
Transition: Rubberneckin' (Soloist: Fred Gilbert)
Guy's Number: Mustang Sally
Closer: Maximum Overdrive/JoyRide/Free Ride (Soloist: Sarah Catherine Black)
